how do i remove the A/C thing in the air cleaner?

im trying to pop off the the A/C thing in the air cleaner since i got my K&n open element kit and i want to put the A/C thingie in the front of the car for a better power gain.

should i just give it hell or is there a better way to pop tha sucker off?

The only thing I can imagine you're talking about is the Thermovac servo on the snorkel for cold-operation, warm-air-from-the-exhaust-manifold diversion.

But, an open element eliminates all that.

What exactly ARE you talking about?
