Clearences on 400sb

I am rebuilding a 400 sb, and I need to know all of the clearences, specifically the main and rod. Are they the same as the smaller journaled 350? Thanks

i love the way rb is direct and straight to the point, doesn't do a lot of talking like some others here.
i think if i were building an engine i might go ahead and spend 15 or 20 dollars on a manual instead of asking on the net and getting information from someone that may or maynot know what he's talking about.

Not necessarily ede,

I would check your bearing manufacturer for the clearances on the main and rod journals. They know what's best.

A book may advise you to set the same clearances for all engine, but bearings have changed, possibly since the manual was made, and they are probably talking stock parts. A manual on the entior car would be worth it though.
