4th gen question.....( please don't lock post)

hey.....I know this isn't a 3rd gen question......but I'm thinking about selling my 3rd gen and I found a 94-Z28 w/ 66k miles, hurst 6-speed shifter (was that stock, or not?) it has t-tops....it's green w/ grey cloth interior.....they're asking $7,900 for it.....but w/ my car as trade in I would get it for about $5,000, is that a good price??? If so.....I don't know how to drive a standard.....is it hard?? How long would it take me to get it down? thanks guys......I really need advice.

as long as it's in decent shape with somewhat low miles the price isn't way out there. it is a bit high, but not excessive. the hurst wasn't a factory option in 94, but that's not that big a deal. getting used to driving the t56 will take a month or two , but well worth it. i personally own a 94 Z28 green with 6 speed and tan cloth interior with a hurst shifter. i'd just make sure you check for intake leaks and water pump leaks. other than that, the other stuff is more difficult to spot unless you know what your looking for. the most recent issue of gmhtp has the checklist of what to look for when buying a fourth gen.

A friend of mine bought a 96 Z with a little less miles than yours and paid $6500 for it. Same color and interior as the one you are looking at it sounds like. I'd try and get the price lower.
Does it look like this?

$7900 seems too expensive. I have an autotrader here and there are 2 1994 Z28's. One is $6500 w/61K miles and the other is $6900 w/80K miles.

If you really want the car I'd offer him $6500 cash but no more than $7000. Sell your car privately.

WOW, around here a 94 Z28 with 66,000 miles costs about 12,000.
Thats what I wanted but couldn't afford it so I got the 92, I love my 92, but I miss the power and fun I could have had with a 350 6-speed.
