What do you guys think about a 400?

I ran across a SB400 for sale. It's the two bolt block. The guy is asking 375.00. It's a stock virgin engine. What's some opinions?
Thanks.

Indeed, ****** it up.

Then, take the heads & intake off, and cam out, and do with them what they are best suited for - make a couple of boat anchors.

Rebuilt with good internals (pistons, rings, bearings), perhaps longer rods, stuffed with a nice cam and topped with good heads and intake - pretty hard to beat.

Of course, you'll want to follow that up with transmission upgrades, subframe connectors, traction enhancement...

buy it. if your looking to go fast, the cubes are really nice. along with the previous mentioned stuff, a really good cooling system will be desired.

very nice engine as long as you dont' bore over .030" over and as was stated above you want a very good cooling system just in case you have problems.
