I have a squeak and a hum.

I have this really irritating squeak when I drive my IROC. Sounds like a bushing but I'm not sure. My old car, 64 Ford, had the same kind of squeak but that one was constantly unlike this one and that turned out to be worn out front shocks. The front end on the IROC is stable and doesn't bounce or anything but who knows. Maybe a shock. Anyone have any ideas? I've also noticed a slight humming under deceleration. Can't figure out what it is either. I'm hoping that the third member isn't starting to howl. I probably ought to pull the plug and check the oil levels in the case. But it definately sounds like it is coming from the back of the car. I really hate diagnosing **** like this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem. It only happened when driving, when I applied the brakes it went away. Ended up having builup on the brake pads, took some sandpaper to clean up the buildup and it went away.
