What kind of spare tire you got?...

When I bought my car, it had a spare for another car, it wouldn't fit my car, not specified for it. But it did fit in the spare location. Now I got the right spare... but it wont fit into the spare location slot. Its too big, but it fits the car.

Supposedly, theres an inflatable spare, that would make it fit into the slot, but inflate after ya take it out. However I asked my bro since he works at Chevy about it, he said I would have to order a tire from the comany who made them.

Well crap what company made em? Is there a spare out there I could buy that would fit the slot and my car? I'm tired of poppin my hatch, and seeing that big tire sittin in the well.. I mean thats the only trunk space I got, and a friggin spare is, which I'm sure I won't really need, but ya never kno.

Can anyone help me out here? Thanks a bunch.

Strange...

Hmm.. I have an 89 IROC 5.0l, and it has a fully-inflated spare tire, one of the little donuts. It fits fine in the spare tire compartment.

There are, I believe, three types of spares for our cars: donut and the inflatables (N65, steel and N64, ten-spoke alum). All these, of course, are hidden behind the plastic panel on the passenger side of the car. The N64 is somewhat rare, but the other two should be found with relative ease at any yard.

I got one of the steel rim inflatables from a salvage yard.

As far as I know all gta cars came with a aluminum inflateable spare. They are pretty common in junkyards I didn't think so untill I really started hitting the yards and found several of them. But for some reason mine doesn't have the air can with it. It doesn't look like it has ever been used on the road.
