How much lift can L98 heads support?

I'm putting in a zz4 cam that has .474/.51 lift. will my stock L98 heads handle that much lift? and if not what all do I need to do to em so they can? or should I just buy new heads? thanks

i'd say .475 or so ,i always change springs and use aftermarket retainers instead of the stock rotators.

I just had my heads worked on and the machine shop said that my heads would only handle .460 lift before the retainers hit the valve seals. So they had to cut down the valve guides to provide more clearance. I have not seen anyone else have this problem, but I did. I have an 89 L98.
