OK friends car crappy 4cyl with a 2bl carb. It sat for a year, was fine when parked. I changed plugs, wires, rotor, cap, fuel filter, pump. Car will start but dies at idle. Can keep it going playing with the throttle. If you give it steady gas, it seems to cycle: runs, revs up, starts to die, repeat. I noticed that one barrel of the carb wasnt spraying fuel Should it always be spraying or just under heavy acceleration? Please, ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated.

 

i dont think its supposed to be spraying fuel.. just had same problem.......did a carb rebuild..cleaned it all up....all is fine..


not sure though

cant go wrong with a carb rebuild
