Checking Fuel Pressure

I have a fuel pressure guage about 1 foot from my carb. If I hooked it to a longer hose so I could see what the pressure is at WOT while driving, will I get a close enough to true reading to verify if there is sufficient fuel pressure? I really need to find out if my pump is going. Thanks.

Rocky,

You may not hear this repeated very often, but in this case, the length of the hose doesn't matter. Now just try to convince your significant other. OOPS! Wrong "Rocky". Stallone is the short guy, not OUR Rocky.
