Will this kill my new engine?

Well I had most of my new engine apart this week to fix a head gasket leak (forgot to put in the dowell pins by....d'oh) and a rear main seal or freeze plug leak. I couldn't tell if the rear main seal was leaking from the gasket that goes against the block or if the plug behind the camshaft was leaking so I decided to replace them both.
Anyway when I was trying to remove the plug I knicked the back of the camshaft right on the outside of the circle as well as part of the rear cam bearing. I think I only hit the profile of the bearing and not the flat face, but not sure. Neither of the hits were too bad. Should I worry about this killing the new bearings and my engine?

i doubt if you have a problem, worse thing i can see happening is the burr on the cam cutting a small groove in the bearing. the bearings pretty wide and gets a lot of oil so i don't see a problem

Sweet! That's what I thought too, but I just wanted that extra boost of confidence. Now I just pray all of my leaks are gone when I get the intake and accessories back on tomorrow and fire it up. Maybe then it will go to the paintshop since the guy has been putting me off since October!!

Thanks Vader

From: Newark,NJ The state where racing on I 78 rules.
Hey, whats up Paul?
I see that your still messing wit dat car. Do u have any times with your current setup? I have a 383 tpi in my car. The induction is all stock even down to the 305 injectors. My sig. tells my whole story.
I have a question about the Ford injectors. Do u just remove the GM's & replace them with the Ford ones or are there more details?
Oh by the way, I live out here in Newark & if u want to see some real street racing we need to hook up. Down here, late at night we have 9sec. cars being flat bedded to Interstate 78 (about 1/2 mile from Newark airport) for some serious racing. The bets can reach as high as 10grand when some of the out-of-towners come to race.
