Here's mine right after we swaped in the new engine. It is pretty much stock, but sharp eyed veiwers will spot some ceramic coated headers.

Go ahead. You'll only see the rear license plate of THIS car:

Yes, that IS a 502 BBC in that Impala, and yes it DOES run 10.82/128.2MPH quarters - with NO blower, turbo, or "Viagra" bottle... And yes, it DOES have a cage.

Maybe the Ford guys should quit wasting their time - they're still eight years behind.

That is VERY good at that altitude! I'll bet she idles "very nicely" with that tunnel ram.

Any ideas about corrected ET? You might be pushing single-digits.

Tunnle ram Vader?

It is a single plane Torker. At a glance and the angle, it could be mistaken for a tunnel ram.

It will idle at 1500-1700 RPM, but put her in gear and forget about it!!!! So the idle is set to about 2000 RPM.

Strangly enough, I put on a tunnle ram for a test night, two Holley 600 vacuum secondaries. Idled about the same, ran about the same....

The correction factor put the car at 10.4 at sea level. I plan on heading out to a friends in Iowa in May/June.

I'm also installing a 150 hp of NOS. I would love to do the final run and crack single digits! And quickly get booted off the track!

I guess I need to take the digital camera with me to the shop tomorrow to get a pic of my engine. I just wish it was in the car and not on the stand! Signature tells the story.

I'm not gonna waste my time posting a pic of the LG4, and when I'm done it will just look like any other Tuned Port car, basically.

This is cool, I may have gotten a couple ideas just from the pics I've seen here!

Blackened,
Your sig mentioned a 408, the block in the pic, thats not a 400 block is it? It doesn't have the steam holes. My point is, you also mentioned a WC 5spd. Is this the WC T-5? If so, how has it held up to the 408. If I am all bass ackwards here, just let me know.

Thanks,

First of all, that is VERY nice. Second.. I've got a couple questions

1. Are These the valve covers that you have?

2. Is that an MSD on the driver side where the washer fluid tank used to be? Does the rain bother it at all?

3. Did you relocate the washer fluid tank?

4. What is on top of the MSD?

Thanks!

Yes.

2. Is that an MSD on the driver side where the washer fluid tank used to be? Does the rain bother it at all?

Yes. Don't know because the car is never driven in the rain.

3. Did you relocate the washer fluid tank?

No. Just took it out. Never used the wiper fluid so I put the space to better use. Still have the wipers and wiper motor intact in case I ever get caught in the rain.

4. What is on top of the MSD?

Adjustable Rev Control. Instead of using pills you can buy a box and rotate the **** to the appropriate RPM. Makes it easier to adjust.

Hehe! I was wondering is someone is going to say that. Yeah... that's an odd 400. Someone I guess plugged the steam holes in the deck for some reason. I'll have to redrill them when I put it back toghether. The WC will be fine I'm sure. I dont powershift or drop clutches. It's been fine for almost a year behind my 400 horse 350.

p.s. This picture shows it IS the real thing

The deck was plugged for a reason ... it strengthens the deck and the surrounding areas. You will NOT want to totally drill them out. Most people will plug the deck and then redrill with smaller holes.

I have only seen the big holes at the top of the deck plugged, not the steam holes. Were the steam holes completely plugged off?

Yes they were completely plugged off. Maybe I wont drill them out at all and leave it like it is. I heard they crack easily around those holes anyway... I'm just wondering how cool it's gonna say when 100+ weather comes around :/
