Hot vs cold

My 85 ta tpi runs horable when it is cold it won't start half the time and will not hold a steady RPM. It has horable throtle responce and stalls at red lights. When it is warm the thing runs perfect. It has great throttle responce and steady rpm.
Does anyone know why this happens?

In open loop, before your car warms up, your computer operates only on coolant sensors, the MAF sensor, and pre programmed settings. This could mean a problem with either of these sensors. Try disconnecting them and seeing if performance changes at all. If not, or if it runs better, they need to be replaced. If this is the case for the MAF, make sure you replace the relays before you buy a new sensor($200+).
