some blue smoke at startup

it doesnt happen all the time, but sometimes when i start up my car i get e blueish white smoke....whut could it be?

It usually indicates worn valve seals and/or valve guides, oil is leaking past them into the cylinders. YOu can try running a thicker oil to slow down this process.

Don't worry about it unless your miles/quart of oil is getting grim. Even at 800 or 1000 miles to a quart it is still easier to just buy a quart now and then than to tear apart the heads.

up to a thicker oil.....try 10w-30....if not that then I would up it even more to 20w-50 but that is me.....hell i was running straight 50w at one point...LOL, now I replaced the valve seals (not THAT hard) and moved down to 20w-50 moble1 to help hide the oil ring worn issue till the new engine goes in this summer.....Go i hate just having that thing sit there while I blow smoke above 3500 rpms
