Is the speedo on 90+ cars mechanical or vss driven?


and is the 730 (SD) ecm compatible with the vss on a T56?

I'm not certain what year the speedos went completely electrical. IIRC, it was in the early '90s.

However, the VSS is a basic pulse generator that really hasn't changed much since it was introduced in 1983. It should be compatible with either the 165 or 730 ECM (or even the old 869, for that matter).
