Spark plug wires. . .

I bought new spark plug wires. My question is. . can i just wrap the new plugs in electrical tape? to make them last longer and keep them from crossfiring? just a thought. any disadvantages to this other than being ugly?

take care,
Jon

Total waste of time. Don't bother. All you'll accomplish is getting that slimy back goo all over your brand new wires. The insulation on good quality plug wires is far more durable than electrical tape; and that tape isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference at spark voltage of about 30,000 volts.
