Use old pushrods?

I'm installing some Comp Cam Magnum 1.5 roller tip rockers on my '85 L69... Is it ok to use the old pushrods? I can't visualy see anything wrong with them. The instructions recommend new ones. The engine only has 65k on it..

Thanks

if the cam is high lift and your springs are high pressure it might cause the rods to bend which is what i think happened on my engine. i then got hardened chromoly ones from summit for $90 but they're not in yet. to check if your old ones are ok, roll each one on a piece of glass and look for wiggling.

How much risk of failure are you willing to tolerate? Is it worth it to you to chance taking the motor back apart to replace them if they wipe out at the rocker arm end?

I'd use new ones if it were my engine.

Everything else is stock. Cam, springs, etc... I guess I'll look into getting new ones.

with stock stuff like that they should be fine. mine bent when i installed my cam with stiff springs. I guess it's up to you, it's just a margin of safety. Personally, i'd keep the old ones with a stock cam and springs.
