Hardened pushrods with stock springs???
Ok, this roller rocker install is starting to **** me off.. I just want to make sure I do it right the first time... I just got some Comp Cams Magnum roller rockers.. Putting them on my stock L69.. I pulled everything off and was getting ready to put them on and read in the instructions that you MUST replace the pushrods... So I figure I will go on and replace them. I went to a local shop and ordered some Comp Cam High-Tech (hardened) pushrods.. So I was getting ready to put them on and someone just told me that you should never install hardened pushrods with stock valve springs... @#$(#% Should I see if I can return these and order some new non-hardened pushrods?
Thanks
Thanks

Who said that? What difference does it make? Hardened pushrods are no different than regular pushrods in function, except they are stronger. I don't see why you would need new springs to install them(although it isn't a bad idea).

????????
That someone made absolutely no sense...
Usually hardened pushrods are used when installing stiffer springs or guide plates.
It will not hurt anything nor compromise anything to install a hardened pushrod.
