possessed .. well not really.. when I let go of the gas peddel the the car dosn't drop its reving .. its just stuck. the car litteraly drives itself .. start it let go of gas it revs around 2000 and drives itself .. changing gears and everything... probanly rearch top speed if I let it so anyway .. im thinking it might be the choke (dammit just replaced that thing a year ago).. I can reach under the pedel and pull it up while driving and it releases and revs normal.. hoewever when the car is parked and reving at 2 grand It won't release.. im not overly knowledgeable with cars.. does anyone know whats wrong?

 

make sure the throttle return spring is still attached to the carb... it's about 3" long and has a smaller spring within the larger one.

 

Also make sure the cable is well lubricated and not frozen or anything.
