Would running an MSD coil cause the plugs to go bad quicker??

Would I have to replace the plugs more often running with an MSD coil? How often should they be replaced, every year?

Well, I always replace my plugs every year, but, when I was "just" running a higher voltage coil, the plugs showed normal wear. After I added an MSD 6AL box to that coil, my Splitfires for the past two years have gotten chewed up. I'll be moving back to regular AC plugs this spring. Here's the link of that message; looks like I wasn't the only one getting my plugs eaten: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...threadid=97104 But you should be fine with just a higher voltage coil!

If anything the plugs will where less quickly, because the hotter spark will help keep them from carbon build up from rich cylinders. The electrodes on the tips wear slowly, I think the GM figure is plugs and wires every 60,000 miles of km, not sure...
