83 T/a Beats 67 Mustang 302 Does This Sound Right???
where i live their is a popular street where everyone cruises on. well me and my gf catch a light with this mustang and hes got two buddies with him and we kinda play with eachother till the next light (u know i give it gas ahead of him, back off let him catch up and do it again). well then we catch the next light and i just smile at hiim and nod my head a couple times. light cycles green and we both tromp it to the floor. i beat him by about 3/4 car length or so. we got up to about 85 and shut it down. blew my mind that i beat a muscle car, he did'nt like it that much either his buddy threw me the finger and that got me pissed off alittle bit.
he had a 302 and a automatic tranny
i have exhaust mods and ignition mods with abrand new 305 with 18k and lots of little things that build power but to much to type. i was wondering tho does this sound right at all for my third gen to beat this guy?

Those Mustangs are extremely light with all options delete. Are you sure it was a 302? Cause I'm not sure when they stopped producing them, but Stangs did come with 289s with 2bbls stock. Also he had 2 other people with him, and I'm sure they weighed more than your GF, so that right there didn't help him.
Hey the Mustang may not be a Muscle car, but if thats the case then an Fbody isn't one either!!!
Anyway, that sounds good to me, I had a 1966 Mustang with a 1969 302 and a 1988 5-speed, it had a 2bbl on it and would have probably gone 15s! It sound like you won a good race, nice kill!

I would consider the Mach 1 and Boss to be muscle cars. They are heavy and not made for curves-most of the time.

WOW ! WTF is the deal with people givin the finger after they've been beat?Every race Ive won Ive been given a thumbs up ,a wave or a nod ,but never the finger ,and when I've lost Ive never been so pissed off that I couldnt look at the guy who beat me or have felt the need to give him the finger , I just feel good to have raced such a fast car.

I usually always get the finger. But hey I expect it and all cause I do wave goodbye when I pass them.
