I was riding my my friends raptor down the rural highway I live on when I get this guy in a red RS behind me. I get over to let him pass me and he nearly hits me! I gun it and ride his butt for awhile. He stops in front of me and lights the tires up, and takes off, so I get on it and pull from him, by the time I top out I have about 2 carlengths on him, of course he does the typical flyby telling me that I'm number one Now I don't know anything about 4wheelers, but I thought for sure I was toast! So I got interested and found that in the 1/8 mile, that raptor could beat MY IROC. Even more interesting was that a banshee ran a 8.6 in the 1/8 in stock trim! That raptor in stock trim could run a 8.8!!!

na, its a 4 wheller made by yamaha. Dam, those things are fast, i got beat by one in a race against my RM 125, and mine is very fast.

 

I got a vid of a 4 wheeler spankin a Stang in a street race.

 

I've seen that, and yea, the stang gets SPANKED. Like 10+ car lengths or so if I remember right.

 

I was talking to Jason,(the friend with the 4wheeler) and he told me that he has taken it to the track, and that 4wheeler drag racing is becoming more popular at dragstrips now. I think it would be cool seeing something different like those racing, but could you imagine, a 4 wheeler with some mods racing say a Z06, or a 2000+ Stang or even a heavily modified thirdgen and winning :hail:

cars are no competitons for snowmobiles..
picks, 136" track, 1-1/4 lugs.... XC EDGE 600.. i'd be at 110 mph+ and toping out way before the quarter was up.. (snowmobile drag racin' on the river... keeps my winters busy.. heh..) 8700 RPM limiter, no gears to go through.. just pure GO power.. 500 lbs with rider..
i actually like driving it better then my car cuz whatever speeds i hit or what i do.. who'll pull me over?

but there are events in the middle of summer when the sled heads start to get an itch to bring out their rides.. and there's grass drag racing.. the 800 cc classes hit over 130 mph if there's not too much loose dirt on the ground (from other riders gunnin' it and spinning)..

i'm going to video some of it and post it up when it comes around..
my sled would soo kill my car in the 1/4....

 

Yeah, I had that one too. If anyone uses Kazaa just type in snowmobile under vids.

 

A friend of my brothers' died on one of those things, not going too fast either, with a helmet on.....gah, they've seemed like deathmobiles ever since....

 

even my trail blazer will beat pick up trucks!!!

 

I saw a snowmobile at the track last year, those things are quick!!
