not happy with my run. how much is this costing me

I went out and G-tech my car today

said I pulled a 16.4 at 90.2 mph
and also rated me at 105hp though that was with a weight of 2800lbs which did not include the fact that I was using the weight of someone else's car but did not take into account me or my pass or all the crap like my speakers, pillows, blankets ( you can fit 4 ppl in this car to sleep in but can only fit two to drive in, go figure), other misc junk and stuff like that. so I am sure my hp number could be a little higher

I know the car has more in it but I have a fairly nasty intake leak I just found. looks like one of the nuts ( there is only two of them ) came off of the plastic intake duct that hooks up to the Throttle body. also on my front muffler two of the 4 studs are stripped so I have one NASTY exhaust leak, plus there is another exhaust leak comming from right in front of my pass rear muffler. and my tip of that same muffler is broke off.my car is still running rich. my injectors are orig with 172k miles on them. had a 1/4 tank of gas in the car of mid grad (ewww I run best on cheap gas), and with the intake filter it is setup right now to draw in hot air from my engine bay so that is not helping any, and the run was done with my windows down and my sunroof up. launch was a dump at 3000 rpms with a some wheel spin then a slight bog, and the shift into second spun the tires

how much would something like that cost me you think.

mods done to the car
intake filter,
header with 2" prim pipes going into a 2 1/2 coll pipe then spit again into 2" pipes comming out the back.

the temps where about 90* with a elevation of 2000-2500ft

if I was able to get my problems fixed how much do you think I can gain on this car? and what cars would I stand a chance against in a street race if I where to fix them. also where do I stand right now with cars in a street race

also just for some other news I want a turbo car again. rode in my friends car who is running a turbo (clocked him at 14.0 88mph he hit the brakes) and that thing is fast. him and I where going up to the spot where one of the other rx7 guys was testing his car out and we rode even for a moment and then my friend just hit the gas and next thing I know they are way behind us and we are doing about 90mph starting at 40mph just like that.

and mods please dont lock this up right away. there is some street racing content in here.

I got a question. I tried to figure my HP on the G-TEch, but the #s were changing so fast it was hard to get an accurate reading. How did you do it?

well it prolly would have been around 120 or so b-c the weight I put in for the car was about 320 pounds less then what the car was with my friend and I in there

also I have a really bad miss that has not gone away

still some problems but I am working on them

I think that sounds right... rotery engines are small as HELL and don't produce too much HP........ It's the turbo's that do it! whats the displacment... 1.2 litre's or something small like that? get the turbo's!!!!!! :hail: Turbo's on high revving cars.

I'm thinking of setting up a turbo on mine... I've seen people run 13.8 with a pretty much stock 944 turbo!

I did the turbo thing and trust me I want to go back but.... I do not have the rest of the drivetrain right now to handle the abuse. the stock N/A drivetrain as I have is prone to fail under that sort of power as we all should know by now

with the car sitting for so long I have developed a few problems and I back to for the most part stock.

I just wish I could figure out this miss as well as why my second ports are not opening like they should.
time and a little money should get most of this fixed up though as I am soon going to send my injectors off to get cleaned and report my intake, plus a new ignition system should be on soon.

just hope that should get most of it taken care off

what I did was top out my car in going from first to third (5 speed and still top out third at 90 with a 4.10 rear time to switch to 4.30 or figure out how to put a 4.88 in there) then just brought it back to a cruise at about 35-45 mph and it said 0 for a moment or two and then brings up peak hp numbers.

hope that helps
