Really Great Story Inside

anyone read the Chevy High Performance mag? well a month or two ago they did a 0-100-0 compition. well there was some badass cars some old camaros a zo6 i think a 3rd gen, and then there was this riced out cavalier. well the deal was you started like a drag competition you have a 1/4 mile to get to 100 then slam on the brakes and get back to 0 and they mark your distance and 1/4 time. well it was going great untill the cavalier got up there. this car was modded to the max with a zex nitro kit as well and of course all the stickers and big *** spoilers you would expect. well the cavalier got disqualified becuase it never made it over 100 mph in the 1/4. LOL LOL. this car had everything, headers, exhaust, intake, cams, nitrous, and the idiot ***** couldnt even break 100 mph. i think he ran a high 15 or something with all that. sorry for the length thought it was funny. goes to show that ricers will never be fast. i will never fear a ***** claiming he has nitrous from now on.

Whoever was driving the Cavalier must have been a dumbass. He should be able hit atleast a low16 stock maybe high 15s. I would think with all the mods plus the n2o he could have atleast broke a high 13.

I am not doubting you in anyway about that cavalier not making 100 in the 1/4 mile...but here are a couple that can!

12 second J-body

A 13 second J-body

Just a cool car!

Was this on street tires? If so then it's definately believeable. With the drivetrain in there all backwards they can't get off the line to save their a$$. I've only seen good runs on slicks or from AWD cars.

i jsut dug that mag out of the library. aka under my bed there are 7 foot tall piles of car mags. but there was a 02 zo6 vette 13.32, a 69 nova 11.69, a 67 chevelle 12.74, 2 69 camaros12.67 and 12.96, and a 00 cavalier 15.10 at 91.97 mile/hour. that cavalier was a joke. at least the cavalier looked fast. lol

maybe the Cavalier had the lower output 2.2 engine instead of the twin cam 2.4. that would explain a few things

I'll agree, theres a heavily riced sunfire I've seen at the track with the body kit and the whole 9 yards. He's got the header, cold air, spud gun exhaust, and a N20 Kit and still runs 15s. All show, not much go (I can't say no go cause I'm still in the 16s but geez he's got N20 and I don't C'mon)
