How much HP is my 383 gonna have?

I'm trying to get a general idea of how much horsepower my 383 is going to have. Here what it's got done to it....

383 ci
Ealge/SRP forged lower end
AFR 195 heads w/ 1.6 CC roller rockers
Edelbrock Performer TBI inatke manifold
Big bore TB with K&N filter
Comp Cams X-energy cam with .480 lift and 268/280 duration
SLP 1 3/4 headers, 3 inch exhaust w/ Y pipe, magnaflow muffler

I don't need anything exact as far as numbers but over 300? 350? 400?
Personnaly I'm thinking 340-360. Take a guess, I will get it dyno's and tell ya if your right.

I think you'll see somewhere around 350 flywheel Hp (~ 300 RWHp)... I'd bet you could pull off a high 12 if you've got a 3.73 rear and good traction... depends on your tranny too...

hell w/ a 383 i wouldnt care about the HP, but about the torque.... nothin like gettin your *** slammed back into the seat on a launch
Horsepower is what they advertise....torque is what you feel

350 flywheel HP seems about right hopefully that's a little conservative with the heads I've got but your probably right because I don't think that 2 barrel TB is gonna be able to handle too much more than that. It's got a WC T5. And torque, hehehe, I LOVE torque. I figure it will probably have about 60-80# more torque than horsepower. My only concern with torque is the drivetrain, after I get a T56 and 12 bolt, torque will be mine. Any other guess' at the HP ot torque.

I have a similar question so I'll post it here.

What approximately will a 383 with the following mods have as far as hp and torque?

+ht383 block
+forged internals
+vortec heads
+9:1 forged pistons
+TPIS mini-ram
+TPIS ZZ-X cam
+vortech supercharger and aftercooler(intercooler)
+MSD ignition
+headers
+3 inch CAT and exhaust
+flowmaster 80 series muffler
+t56

Thanks for any info you can give me.

I'll take a *guess* and say at least 450. It depeeds on a couple things, what size headers are those, did you use a Y pipe for the 3 inch, what kind of lift/duration does that cam have, which vortech supercharger are you using, are you reprogramming the PROM?

Wow, I can't believe you are running those parts with a TBI setup. Ditch the TBI unit and crap intake for a Victor Jr./Double Pumper and I'd say you are good for easily more than 400HP at the crank, but as is you are probably 340 or less at the flywheel.

I agree with chris, the TBI setup is holding you back. I am more pointing toward the TBI intake, not the TBI unit itself. The intake is really meant for a low rpm (5500 and under) small motor (305 or 350). No way is it gonna support over 350hp. But you can keep a stock-style TBI if you use a carb intake manifold with a TBI adapter plate. You can run a Performer RPM or Victor JR, or any other manifold for that matter. You can get the TBI unit upgraded for higher air and fuel flow. It would work fine (as good as a tuned carb), although not like a true DFI or sequential FI system.

The *only* reason I have the TBI is the money. The Holley Stealth Ram is going on before the winter. I do have an Edelbrock Performer TBI but your right that it probably doesn't flow anywhere close to the RPM range of the Victor Jr. It is a big bore TB but it's still a 2 barrels o it's probably still pretty restrictive. What do you guys think the numbers might be like with the Stealth Ram.

BTW, thx for the opinions.
