my friend has a 82 Z28 Camaro, and my other buddy Jesse has a 1994 Dodge Shadow ES, My friends Camaro is stock, So is the Shadow, The Shadow is a 3.0 V6 with the 5 spd.
Jesse had him off the start until it was over, Derek never caught up to him. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha dodge shadow?? if its the 3.0 v6 OHC i wouldnt doubt it would put up a fight with stickshift from the LG4. the shadow is light as hell, u got a boat anchor 180hp motor to the 150hp stickshift shadow. doesnt baffle me at all, i could see it happen. i lost to a v6 mustang in my old blue rs once. at hw speed tho.

Actually, the 82 LG4 had only 145-150 hp lol gawd mine sucked when it was stock.

 

Yes they make turbo dodge shadows and they can be made to go very fast. They run a very low 15 stock with the 5 speed some will run in the high 14's. I've seen some mildly modded ones running 13's all day long.

 

Watch out for the later fuel injected, turbo GLH omni's too, they're lighter than the shadows.

 

The 3.0 5-speed shadow is quick, especially through the first 3 gears.

The V6 is slower than the turbo 4 from pretty much any speed. My friend had a turbo model with a few mods (15lbs). He ran pretty much dead even with me in the '85 before I sold it. It was a high 14 second car.

Yea I know Shadow's were fast I just didn't know how fast, I owned a 1990 Turbo Daytona, That was QUICK

 

yea, shadows are pretty quick. one of my friends gave me a pretty good run in one, i really had to try to beat him

 

My grandpa has a turbo spirit.I didn't think it was much until one day I put new brakes on it and drove it around town to try them out.I got on it a little and was very suprised.So I really got on it getting onto the hwy and wow.It really got up and went.


And the spirit is bigger than the shadow.I read somewhere if U add a waste gate to one it will be a taurus sho.

By the way what is a waste gate?

 

My wife has an 88 shadow, and it is o.k. Pretty quick considering what the car is and the 300,000 miles.

 

a waste gate is part of the turbo system...it bleeds of excess boost to avoind detonaton and such.

Just cause its a camaro dosen't mean its fast. Just cause a shadow beat it dosen't make the shadow fast either. I'm not rippin on the camaro, mine runs low 16s so I have no right to talk about being slow.
