My 92 Firebird against a 00 Civic
I've challenged my sister-in-law's boyfriend to a race. He's in the process of completely redoing his car, probably custom interior and more stickers. I'm worried because he has 18" wheels and a big wing and loud muffler, must add 1000 hp. I'm about to drop a 400+ hp 355 into my car, so I'm pretty confident I'll win, as long as I don't break something. I even put $150 on it. Gotta show his little scrawny punk-*** who's boss. Show him he's not good enough for my sister-in-law! There's a lot riding on this race, I'm worried he'll only lose by 20 car lengths!

I just want to make him feel really bad. He talked bad about cars like mine to my sister-in-law, then talked all big and bad about cars like his around everyone. Even if he does have NAWWWSSSS, he's still running the base 4-banger. I'm gonna be running 12s with my setup(hopefully!)

It will be interesting. I'm thinking I'm gonna light up the tires for 100ft, then haul *** by him. At least it'll look cool!

Even with spray that Civic wont be hitting 13's if even low 14's the wheels and all the other rice sh*t make it wiegh more and that the only thing he has over Birdmans car
if u want it to be realy funny then putt a huge pot in ur passenger seat and buckle it down like someone on here a while back talked about then if they ask what its for just simply tell them ur gonna cook some rice.

I might even challenge him to race as my car is now. Don't know when I'm gonna see him again, my sister-in-law is heading off to college this weekend and he's staying at home to work at PetSmart. What a loser, doesn't give a **** about his future, only his damn Civic.

With all the money he's spending on cosmetics he probably won't even touch the engine. Race him and post it.(There's never the outcome just the hypothetical questions.)
Good luck.

It'll probably be a while before this goes down now. My sister-in-law is away at college and this guy is back at home. It's gonna take me a while to finish my motor because I'm gonna finish my 79 Bandit TA first, then get to the motor.

I don't think there is any converting this guy. He hates those "big hood" cars. Just doesn't understand that the big hood is needed to hide the big motor!

Maybe I'll even make it close and take off all 4 of them!
Well you've got a few choices in the matter 1) You take rice boy down the road one time for a real ride(his car prob SEEMS fast compared to all his friends escorts etc.) 2) Go down to petsmart buy a 50lb bag of dog-food throw it in the trunk and offer to race this.(this does two things one you've got ballast for traction and two its the side bet on the race if he loses he can eat it!)

Don't they always do that? Talk about other cars and call them crap? And the same ol' "if I'm running this, anything below it is slow" philosophy. Allow me to present a metaphor that may help everyone realize how retarded this idea is.
So a beautiful woman is walking down the streets. Stunning. You can't help but stare. Cars are crashing into each other.
Another woman steps out of a building that looks even better.
Does this make the first woman ugly?
(Female drivers insert "man" above.)
Get my point? Some guy does a wheel stand and rides thru the quarter in 10.9 seconds. A guy follows him pulling 10.0. Is 10.9 slow? This is a fad driven philosophy.
Sorry. In short, kill him, but if you can, film it, please. I'm going into withdrawal again from lack of quality races. And my Olds won't be finished and broken in until spring or summer. *cries*

. When we got back, he got out of the car with this big goofy smile on his face and said "I need one of those." One of his buddies was walking by, and he turned to him and said "You HAVE to get one of those. OMG." I was just happy to do my part

They are old Plymouths. Most had Slant-6s in them. I had a 76, could barely make it go 80. You can make them fast, but their ugliness makes up for it.
Put a 440 in it and you can call it a road runner.
First Road Runners were valiants with the big hatch glass. Those looked so cool. Ever heard of the car "Hemi under glass"? That's a Valiant/Road Runner with a rear mount Hemi. It's just a wheel stander, but a really cool car anyway.
I took a guy for a ride in my car. He has an LB9 G92 camaro, so it's no sloucher, but he couldn't get over the amount of midrange torque that my engine makes. I kept telling him it was all messed up because the cam and heads don't match for $hit so it only pulls real hard for about 1500 RPM, but he was impressed anyway. The 140 mph pass I made on 355 helped too.

hey I will race anyone here if they agree to take half there plugs off..... I will even do the same by taking half my plugs off....
I don´t care if you are running in the 12´s or not
I always thought that the Roadrunners were a beefed up Plymouth Belvedere. My dad has an old sixty seven Belvedere sitting in his back yard collecting dust. I can see the Roadrunner resemblance.

road runner is like a charger cept smaller its like a nova to a chevelle a road runner is like a belvedere cept when they stoped makin da belves dey made roadrunner i think
My 2 cents;
1) Very few of us know Dodges!
2)Plymouth Satelite=Road Runner
3)Coronet=Super Bee
4)Chargers were made into Superbirds
5)If most of us climbed into one of these things we would think we'd stepped into a mobile home.
6)Of all mentioned a valiant is the only comparison to a nova.
7)WTH are we talking Mopars again?

Oh yeah, that's right. Belvedere's were road runners. Valiants were turned into darts, dusters, scamps, lancers, and cudas. Why are we talking chryslers? Because I hate talking about the same old chevrolet garbage every day. Besides old Chryslers are actually good cars not like that crap they made in the 80s- present. There's noting cooler than a Hemi Cuda with a flying anvil rear and a rocker crusher tranny painted plumb crazy purple. Gotta love those old chrysler nick names.

Same old chevrolet garbage? Look Valiants were not turned into Cudas I may not be an expert on Mopars like yourself but at least I know facts! Darts are an A-body(meaning small) Cudas are an E-Body (being larger) and Road Runners Were an B Body (BIG).BTW that Hemi Cuda would be flying around with an A-833 trans not a chevrolet garbage Rock-crusher(M22)!

How did this turn into a Mopar post? We started out talking about me racing my hot sister-in-law's boyfriend in his pimp-mobile and ended up talking about Mopars? Talk about digression!

Naw, I just find it funny, not tripping out here. Just bored waiting for my slow-*** computer to churn out a CAD drawing.
