me vs LS V-tec turbo w/ nitrous
one of my friends says that he is going to be in 11 seconds in the 1/4 with a LS V-tec motor i think, a t6 turbo i think, (the biggest he could order) and 100 shot of nitrous, this race is taking place in about 6 months, if i win i get 800 dollars, if he wins i buy him and my brother lunch at wendies, thats it. by then i will have my 383 stroker kit hopefully, 200 shot of nitrous, and a weiland 671 0to60psi blower, running 50 psi, he will be running 38 psi, he has a full interior in a integra, 2 door. i have a full interior in my 1983 camaro Z28. i ether have to beat him on theeeeway 60mph and up or in the 1/4 mile. how bad do you think i will murder him.
with the 383 and the 50psi you will kill him, the only question is....does he have forged internals? Cuz that much boost will destory the stock vtec in a sec. But anyways, sounds like it will be a good race esp. becuase you will get 800 bucks

forged internals, he just spent 8500 in the engine alone, i wont what my 1/4 mile times would be if i had that much just in my new motor... he he he
No offense, but does this sound like a couple of 12 year olds to you guys also.
My Integra with the biggest turbo I can get and "Nawss" will kill your 383 blown and stroked V8!!!
Unless you guys have the cars together now or have the parts I find it hard to believe the race will take place (none ever do when started here!). Although your set-up is a little more believable.

50psi???? so is this the same type of s/c they use in the funny cars and stuff??
and a t-60 getting about 38psi... he would be straining that turbo I think to get that much boost.... possible yeah... but kind ahard I would think.
and you want to put a 200hp shot on that setup..... all I need to say is KA-BOOM!!!!! unless you are driving a street driven funny car
same goes for your friend I would have to say

50 psi???
Not that my experience resides in any way, shape, or form with blowers (turbos are more my thing), but 50 psi? Wouldn't that require some sort of rediculously high octane fuel (like something other than gasoline?), or one HELL of an intercooler? To top that off-a 200 shot of nitrous??? This sounds more like something (which has already been said) that would reside under the hood of a funny car, not some street driven Camaro.

Oh and this is a mute point......but, if you DID HAVE a blown 383 running 50 psi of boost with a 200 shot of nitrous, it would be sad as **** if you couldn't fly by 11 second cars like they were going backwards. A friend of mine has a 81 el camino that weighs 3,100 pounds and runs 9.80's @134 with a regular gasoline fueled STREET DRIVEN 11:1 CR 383 forged stroker kit, Brodix Track alumium cylinder heads, a 150HP shot of nitrous, and a Victor Jr. intake. Let me tell you this, he gave me a ride in that thing OFF the nitrous (it runs 10.90's off the bottle) and holy ****ing **** that makes an 11 second car look plain stupid! We went out racing 11 second sport bikes that day and it was just a blast to fly past them in a CAR. Point being, if by some fat chance you really were building this 50 psi blown 383 with nitrous, you shouldn't even waste your time racing 11 second imports!

50PSI? is that possible out of a blower? i always talk to street cars and the most i have seen on a street car was on a mustang and he was running 12psi. I havnt talked to that many peoplebut most were running like 8 or 10, Dam, 50psi, i have not even seen imports running that.

Maybe that turbo is a few CO2 cartridges putting out 50 psi....
or maybe the pipe from his turbo to his intake is about a cm wide...or less to make 50 psi
Maybe he meant that his tires were going to be set at 50 psi....
Maybe he washes his car wish a 50 psi water jet...
Perhaps he has his afpr at 50 psi....
Or perhaps.....
This is one bogus kiddie thread!

He also better make sure he opens the NOS bottle and tell him not to be afraid if his computers tell him anything... and as for you u better watch out for parked Big Rigs you dont want to hit it and destroy ur car... that would be a shame
Fast and the Furious. Funny movie. One nice car at the end (mmmmm, big block mopars) that's all i'll say. I wonder if that Supra had like a 500 shot? I'm sure it's T-192290 turbo was pushing at least what, 300 psi? Sounds right? Listen all sarcasm aside, if this race were to happen then just take off the power adders and run. You will definately win then

dam you know, people actually come on here to ask legit questions for help and all that answer are the ****ing rejects that have nothing better to do then critise some one. it is posable to run 50 psi out of a 671 supercharger, if you check on summitracing.com look it up, but if i am wrong i am sorry, i have seen a camaro running around my town with a small block 400 with a 671 blower set at 45 psi when he is running, it works best with his settup, but he can run 50 if he wanted. its people like you all who chase off the people that are actually being serious and asking questions. not making jokes. and what about this being a post from 12 year olds, you all seem to be that age so its fitting that you are posting a reply because your IQ's arent at other peoples levels. peace out
