Thirdgen moderators too strict?

I was really looking forward to reading the post about AWD vs. RWD. Why was it locked? It wasn't off topic whatsoever! This isn't the first time this happened (at thirdgen). I just think you guys need to lighten up.

The moderator's are too strict, I bitched at the one moderator here and got my *** chewed out by the owner, If I were you I would just hush up.

I happen to think the moderators do a fine job. Everytime I see a thread that has been locked it is off the topic. They also usually do a good job of preventing flame wars. I would rather see a locked thread than 50 responses of three guys arguing like little girls. Just so you know I'm not trying to kiss ***, just stating the facts. Moderators, I salute you.

let me begin by saying that BS, flamewars, and bashing are not welcome on these boards

whenever the bashing and flamewars occur, mods step in and take care of whats going on

i do not think we are too strict, i happen to think we are too leanient..............look around and see all that is off topic that we leave open, etc.

oh yeah, IBTL

The RWD vs. AWD thread was off topic within this board. The main topic within seemed to be whether or not new muscle cars should be AWD. How does that have anything to do with racing? I admit I made a mistake in the fact that I didn't move the thread; but instead locked it. I did however refer him to the other board when he made a new thread regarding the lock.
