Me vs 2 new Cobras
Okay so it was either a 99 or 01, one had exhaust and was green other was, black?? I don't remember, it was either black or grey. So i put pulleys on, wanna give her a run, 2nd feels like she pulls a tad harder, if thats what it was...coulda been that oil change ya know, and oh yea i dumped my timing to 8 BTC it was at 9. So i see this cobra with his girl and my buddy and i pull up next to it, i kept goosing it and 2nd gear felt tense, like at the crack of the throttle it would crack loose. so downshifting he does and we crack it, i heard *CHIRP* and wam put 1/2 car on him we shut down due to an officer of the law. kinda crazy, then this green 99 or 01 is from school, its the kid i told you who i raced before...this kid has NO FREAKING IDEA how to drive stick, im gonna walk out and punch him. he never EVER races off the line with me, hes such a boner. his excuse "your tires." to ****ing bad i dont say i wont race you cause you paid $28k for a high 13 car. sorry to say, i like cobras, i like their horsepower a lot, ive driven one before but these new ones dont impress me much. an 03 is just insane, and i wouldnt even post that up here. but i expected to just TEST the pullies and timing and thats it, i didnt expect 1/2 car on the stock cobra. i did beat a cobra 96-98 before with gears, exhaust, pullies and **** cuz he spun in 2nd
not my fault people go for hp and no traction first. oh well, the green woulda beat me down neway. and i let my buddy drive my maro, he owned a 97 cobra and even he said i got a killer 2nd, that his 97 would lose compared to his 2nd. smog coming off, new plugs, chip, and afpr should put me 13.8 hopefully. i still can get her in first if im not patient and relaxed. oh yea one more thing, my buddy has a 305 built, heads ported, cam, intake, and holley 750 cfm...he said he was running a bit rich in his 88 regal but he put 2 on me in first cuz i was talking to him and wasnt paying attention but i caught up and walked him hard...i should check the block one of these days...i wouldnt doubt the past owner put a L98 in...it was off a performance only dealership...www.rosemotorsports.com

i thought there were 01' Cobras? remember the 99' fiasco, then Ford held off a year of production and re-released the improved Cobra in 01'. but i could be wrong
There were '99 Cobras, '00 Cobra Rs, and '01 Cobras. Sounds good, but that first Cobra should have pulled on you. He probably didn't downshift to the right gear, and let the RPMs drop too much. That really kills the Cobras!
