First Race in new car

Well, finally popped the cherry on the new car. Pribably the first time it's ever been pushed also seeing as i bought it from an old guy. I'm talking about my Lincoln Mark 8 i bought last week. For an "old man's car", it HAULS ***!

For those who don't know, it's a 4.6L DOHC making 280HP stuffed in a T-bird chassis with IRS and Air Bag suspension and one hell of a plush interior. From what i have learned, '93's are the fastest year running 14.7-15.1 stock @ 93-95MPH. (in good tune with good driver)

Anyway, some of my friend's are questioning why a 21 year old would park his Mustang for the winter and get a Lincoln. Well, last night I had to prove it to one of em. I lined up with my buddy in his '97 GT SOHC Automatic. He isn't too great of a driver so i knew what the outcome would be. I lined up, turned the traction control off (hehe) and proceeded to walk him off the line and have a safe lead by 65MPH. And I did it with 2 friends in the car seated in perfect luxury!

Anyway, car hauls ***, has so many bells and whistles i haven't learned them all yet. I just need to tint the windows out, swap to '96 LSC HID's, lower the air bag sensors to drop the car and put on some agreesive looking rims and get rid of that old man mentality!

I still miss the stang, but it's nice having both cars that are fast

Nice, yeah, people don't understand how nice it is to be able to park the car during the winter bad weather months. And put the abuse onto a different car.

But, I got a **** slow 90 Stang 4cyl 5spd as my 2nd car.

Nice kill man..I had a 91 lincoln Mark VII LSC SE with the 5.0 HO. I had some mods. Mainly a full exhaust from the headers back and dumps before the axle. And some other mods here and there. Car was very nice..i had 17x9" chrome cobra-R wheels on it and it was all black with black leather. I also had moved the airbag sensors to lower it a bit. Very nice ride. The 93's are even nicer. You definitly picked a nice winter car. Good luck with it.
