I fare pretty well against most LT1's in the stop light to stop light runs. Highway is a different story but I did beat a LT1 T/A up to around 130 once.

Hey I was reading your post about getting booted out of 42 Dragway? You go there much. A buddy of mine lives less than a mile from there. If you head up 42 right when you get into west salem theres a tall white house with a garage and about 15 old muscle cars sitting in the backyard. You should come by sometime and check out our latest addition: 88 monte w/ a 500+hp 454! We havnt had the chance to run her yet until we get some better traction tires.

I get out that way every so often. I've only been racing there for the last three years. The first year was with my '86 MC SS. The best I could do with it was a 15.4. Traction was always an issue and it only had the L69 HO 305 with a 3.73 limited slip. I didn't spend any money on the suspension though. I like racing at 42. Probably not the greatest track but it works for me. Saw an early '90's Dodge Shadow Sport running 13.5's today with the turbo 4cyl, also saw an LT1 T/A WS6 running low 14's. I'd like to see that Monte run once you guys get some decent tires. Should be brutal!!!
