Worst whippin' to date.

I see an older white camaro fly around me, then slam on brakes and stick his hand out the window and point repeatidly to the ground. So I just stayed in my lane and as we both slowed down for the light I stared at the bumper and saw the infamous '5.7 Tuned Port Injection' . Got even with him and look over "IROC-Z" This guy had a cowl hood, looked and sounded like true-duals and he started revving his engine at me. I knew I was going to get beat, bad. I revved mine back big time and we took off. My back wheel spun like crazy before it caught and his posi traction caught and lets just say I kept beside him till about 30mph and by the time I was doing 65 (when I let off the gas) he looked to be doing about 90-95 and a good 1/8 mile away.:lala: Well thats my race story. My third, downright race loss that I knew was going to be a race from the dead stop start. Add him to the list of a Grand Prix GTP, pimped out new Silverado and IROC. damn 305... you're a pig

How can you tell what true dual exhaust looks like from above the car?

I've never had the chance to race another iroc.. and I only see them when I'm not driving mine. Funny how it happens.

Ouch. Pretty much every car has beaten me, so I am actually surprised if I do win a race.

well for the brief seconds I was behind him (before the light) there was no single in dual out muffler that I could see and it sounded like dual exhaust. I am ASSUMING it was true dual. The way that thing took off, I wouldn't doubt it.

I don't know what my 2.8 can do. I never drive more than 5 seconds at WOT. I don't like to have my engine reving at 5,000 with the kind of milage I have on it. This is my only ride for the time being so I can't be too foolish with until I get the engine and cooling system rebuilt. I may loose every single race, but not by much.

Car: 87 Iroc Z
Engine: 383ci.
Transmission: WC-T5
Don't feel too bad. I got my first iroc at 18 and it had the 5.0TBI. I got picked on by others, especially other thirdgens around the area. Then that car got stolen and i got this one 1987 Iroc Z.
Well, lets just say, what comes around goes around. I'm now running a pretty healthy 383, and the only other thirdgen in the area I can't take is my buddies. But we usually go out and hunt the rest of them down on a Friday night.

The answer to a loss, is more mods.

Car: 1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham 2dr Coupe
Engine: 403 Olds v8, bored .030 over
Transmission: 350 T.H. 3A, shift kit
Well, after checking codes and numbers, I've found that my Cutlass originally had this setup:
260 v8, 3 speed Auto, 2.41

What a speed demon.

So I guess my car, even if it's not fast, it will be quite a change...

The dual outlet muffler is not there. Of course, you can tell that I have dual by the fact that the pipes hang a little low, 'cause we ran out of hangers. ...and by the fact that I have glasspacks...
