hes got a manual boost controller, catback exaust, cool air intake, and blow off valve

me, i have the 87 GTA 5.7 (edelbrock headers, gutted cat, flowmaster catback, new cap, rotor, wires, and platnum +4 plugs, trans-go shift kit, 3:73 9 bolt, (peg leg) and the 4th gen ram air hood+intake box:lala:

oh and his is an auto, its not a stick shift and mines auto as well, i only hope my reaction time is good, because if it is, then hes gunna have quite a hard time catching up, but once it gets up to about 70. those larger gears wont do me much good....but tomarow night, i hope my bird flys up to its reputation :hail:

of course, we both agreed on just a good ol-fassioned streetlight race, no rolling, no top speed testing, just a good vintage stoplight bashin

I wouldn't race him from a roll if I were you, but you should have him from a stop no problem especially if it's a 95-99 eclipse, although I'd play it safe and junk the gimmick spark plugs and buy some normal ones so I didn't have as much predetonation. The T-25 even with upped boost is junk, I think it's the smallest production turbo. BTW All DSMs came with a blow off valve unless you're talking about he has a different one from stock.

Have no worries...

You're gonna rape him every which way. Race him anyway you want. Make sure you are in DRIVE and not OD, otherwise, manual shift. Like I said, I beat one from a 75 mph roll, twice. With my freakin q-jet!!! My motor had like 800 miles on it, not even broken in!! I wish I could race the same guy now, I've probably shaved close to 4 tenths off my e.t. since then with all the tuning I've done.

Don't forget, he has no torque, at least nowhere near what you got anyway. I was lookin at your mods and I was thinkin' that me in my 84' and you would be a good race, which basically means you are gonna stomp him.

well, tonights the big night for me, it should be cold out which will be good for my intake since i have the ram air box+hood before i go to the race, im gunna monkey with my TPS and clean up the intake a lil, i cut out the sceens a while ago in the MAF and i noticed a slightly better throttle responce, but can anyone give me some quick tips on what i can adjust on the motor to get a bit more temporary power out of it?

yeah he has the stock turbo, and intercooler, and its a 97 FWD...
what do ya say guys should i show him a good view of some T/A taillights? or what oh and he reffers to american cars as "slowmestics"...this just gets on my nerves, i respect his car because its one of the faster versions of the eclipse, but when you knock on american muscle like that.....well, either way hes going to soon learn to respect my car from a full stop

If I were you...

I wouldn't mess around with your car too much before you go and race, if it's runnin' good, just go race him, don't try to fiddle with everything. Are you scared??? Sounds like it, if you are trying to do last minute mods. You are gonna work him, stop worrying about it. LOL

Good luck tonight. BTW, if I were you, i'd start off in first or second gear. Man I love these races like this. Wish I could be there to see you stomp his *** in the ground. Maybe get to were your racing early, let your engine cool a lil'. Maybe let a lil pressure out of your tires, so as to hook better. You shouldn't need to worry. Your gonna OWN him.

Good luck and remember to be safe. And remember that if you're in front, you can stop the race whenever you want, unless its pre-determined. :hail: TORQUE!!!

I thought that, most of the time, letting pressure out makes your hook worse...?

woo-hoo! 100th post!
