hehe anyone familiar with this situation? you do something to your car, whether it be a brake job, some minor modification, or bolting in a blown alcohol hemi.....of course you get done at like 10pm, but you wanna take the thing for a ride and see what ya did right? but when that happens many times things seem to go strangely awry.....lol.

i have alot of good camaro stories like this, but my best one was with my cavalier.....

i finish putting a new ignition box and plugs and wires into the old 3.1 at about 10:30 that night. So im like ok get cleaned up and take it for a beat run...see how she runs. Now as im walking out the door, the light bulb on the porch goes out...that shoulda been a sign......

i beat it for awhile, and it ran great......i raced some hondas and beat them as usual, nothing out of the ordinary......

then, im driving down rt 3A, and lo and behold, who is walking down the street drunk, retarded and dumb??? oh yes it was biotch ex girlfriend, so me thinking im the funny guy swerves at the bitch on the sidewalk....she dives into the woods scared as hell (she didnt know what my car looked like then so i didnt think id get in trouble lol) anyways now i think im the funniest person that ever lived......so not 10 seconds later the king of the world decides to deccelerate from 65 to make the sharp corner ahead.....break pedal goes right to the floor.....whoooooooooooa!!!!!!!!!!! ^&*^*(&%&&*%^&*&*()

so with some creative maneuvering i got the thing around the corner without death and went home, realizing i had angered *** and decided to only drive the car the next day if it was a late night wrench session from now on hehe :lala:

Across the river from my town this guy DID run over his ex GF on the side of the road and killed her a couple years ago Kept on driving too.

 

im probably about to do something kinda the same, on january 24th me and this kid from school are racing for 200$, hes got a 94 5.0 and is cocky as hell he always talks **** even though i have better time slips than him, he always say just wait til i get tires etc, well hell have tires and lets just say ill have a few more things done, i should be around olow 14s high 13s im, with tires he should be mid to low 14s, hes getting n2o but we agreed on all motor race, im thinkin of puttin on a 75 shot just in case he tries to cheat so i can still emabarras him....

 

oooouch... i have a mini story... i just put in underdive pullies, and i was gunna take it to the track to race some punk a$$ kid in my school with his eclipse(2002 gt) went to the track, and my car started to die... battery gauge was dippin really low...i kept jump startin her. she would run.. and then die... after a while the battery just flat out died, no more spark at all.... so i got a new battery from kmart. remind u, this is while i am in the pit lanes, in line ready to race. while this is going on, the kid hasnt shown up to the track yet... so i still have time to get my car runnin... so i get the battery in, start her up, and guess who comes rollin in... the punk a$$. well i thought, i better keep the engine rev'ed to keep the battery charged. after 10 mins, there was this bad smell, somethin bad, and it was gettin hot... i yelled to my friend to pop the hood. i hit the release, and he is tryin to get to the latch. as hes doing that, i look up at the temp gauge... its weeelllll above 240.... i shat myself right there. he finaly opens the hood, and a cloud of smoke arose from the engine bay... the radiator blew the side tank, and leaked anti freeze all over the track.... in about 30 seconds, 5 guys came up to me tellin me they could fix it. one guy had a radiator for a 86 iroc at his house, 10mins away. and the 4 other guys were mechs. so they took out the old radiator, and replaced it with the used one about $50 for it to be fixed and i was back on the road. i still had no battery problem, but at least i was safe on teh cooling... i owe these men a beer or a lap dance (not from me)... i had to eventualy replace the alt... the old one was a 85amp and was not the original one? the reason i question this, is cause my dad got the car new, and he knows about all that went on with his car... anyway, i still have some problems with charging... but only when im using a lot of accesories... thats my lil story... peace

 

oh yea, about the race. i never raced him at the track. there were plans on racin on the street, but that never happend after i ran my car a few weeks after. he found out my times, and no longer wanted to run me. he did run his car that night, and got a 15.9... would of had him by over a half a second...
