Alright....96 LT1 A/4 vs. my 88 L98 A/4

Well well well, I was walking into school this morning and these guys pull up behind me and ask me if I wanna race a Silver LT1 Camaro outside..and then they said that they hear I run 13.5!!! LOL!!! HAHAHAHA I laughed in the guys face and told him that I would love to run 13.5's but I'm not living in a fantasy world...and that I would race him in my GTA even with my slipping tranny.....I don't even know who this guy is, lets say he is an average drive....so would do you all think would win....I figure this is gonna go on during lunch in about 43 minutes.....I'm gettin kinda anxious here.....the only mods he has is a Flowmaster Muffler, my mods are in my sig.....AARON

answer as fast as you can ASAP

It might be close. I raced a stock 95 A4 z28 from a stop. I took him in first, he caught up in the middle of second, and we stood dead even to the end of second when we shut down.

Just get a good launch.

as the owner of a LT1 4th gen i will say these cars spin ALOT! get a good launch and you should win. if the race goes over 90, he may catch up and pass you though. ive downshifted in my Formula into 3rd from a 70mph punch and the car just pulled like crazy. it would definately beat my Vette from a roll. race him from a stop and watch him spin and struggle to catch up

good luck!

Tpivette, how do you insure all those cars?

I wanted to buy another fbody (Undecided to get another 3rd or a 4th w/ a 6 speed) but insurance would rape me, though im still thinkin about it.

I'm gonna have to go with the LT1 on this one. Sorry. I think it will be very close off the line, maybe you ahead, but he should catch up to you and pass you. He won't win by much.

If you do some of your future mods you have planned, you'll rape him. But as it is now, this is just my prediction. Let us know!

i actually dont pay that much in insurance. i havent had ANY tickets or accidents since 97', plus im 24 years old, so the insurance companies must give me a break.

its not the insurance thats expensive, its the 3 car payments!!!
