dont worry, earlier today i put a 94 gt in its place. Let me start by telling the full story.
This kid named chris that goes to my school owns a 1994 mustang gt ( year with 5.0 still) and he is conviced he can kill me in a race. I dont blame him cause the rumor around school is that my car is a 3.1! Even though half the school was there when i got a ticket for smoking the tires in the juniors parking. Well last period today he was talking all this ****, like im white trash cause I drive a Camaro RS not a z28. No offense or anything, but my car now, could smoke the z28 he refers to. Well i go out to the parking lot and get into my car, start it up and let it warm up. The stroker comes by my spot and lites his tires up right in front of me! I droped the ebrake and reved my car a couple times, then dropped clutch at 3,250 ish, making the rear end of my car disappear for 200 feet rubber patches. I pulled up right behind him wating to leave the lot, and he gets out and comes up to my car. He asks if i wanna race, i said hell ya! Told him to meet me on a farm road about a mile away in 30 minutes, bring whoever you want, just bring you and your car, cause im gonna kick your ***. He laughed and went back to his ****ter. I meet up with him and sure enough about 50 people were there. Chris is a football player/basketball player, so he is a "popular" kid. We used a straight crack in the road as our line and had a buddy honk his horn three times, last was go. I heard the second honk and dropped my clutch at 3,000, knowing that id move when the third honk hit. Sure enough i did, I launched a clean patch, only spinning for about 30 feet. Spun into second and he was already half car back. Shifted into third, chirping them, and he was about 2 cars back. Shifed into fourth and he was even farther back, prob 4-5 cars back. ran fourth up to about 85 and let off. Turned around to go back and when i got there he wasnt there, so i waited with the rest of us. He never came back! what a pus! I smoked him. Thought i should share my awsome kill! My web has all my mods, i think, unless i havnt gotten that far yet. Oh well, i can always do it later. I hate ford cars!

Camar92, what gears do you have. with 3.73s in my car a 3,000 RPM clutch dump on heated Drag radials with 18 psi had me smoking the tires to a 2.5 60'. It sounds like you hook pretty well, unless you have some sticky tires.

I hate ford cars!
And this attitude, man what did EVERY Ford car do to you, I know mine did nothing, yet you hate it!

no rust

No there wasnt any rust on the mustang... it was actually pretty nice lookin, I didnt really pay a whole lot of attention to what it was , (the whole girlfriend in the car thing kinda messes up street racing) but at least im pretty sure i coulda own3d him if i had gone for it... oh yah it sounded like he had a catback or somethin cuz when he hit those rpms it kinda scared me for a sec...

my mods:

:hail: 87 camaro sc 350 gm goodwrench crate engine (not high po)
edelbrock performer intake manifold
stock 4 bbl carb
cowl hood black racing stripe from nose to hood (180 HP)
K+N open element 14" airfilter and x-stream lid
and I already have the 5 speed borg warner
future plans definitely include exhaust heads and cam and a t-56 and some suspension stuff

With stock exhaust and manifolds I assume, you're probably running mid 15s. So, that Mustang must have been bone stock , what kind of stang was it? 80s, the newer style?

There should not be many mid 15 second Mustangs. Even my stock AOD pulled 15.3 with the 2.73 gears, with pretty bad conditions, and 120,000 miles! Any 5-speed car should see a high 14 without touching it!

It sounds like you didn't run him though, so who knows what the Mustang or he would have run!

Heh, I'm pretty sure mine's just about the same as yours...
92 4 banger winter beater, 50k miles. I'll agree with you, the gas mileage in the beater is nice! The T/A makes up for it the rest of the year though

Oh yea, I don't think i'm a ***** either !

Last time I checked I wasn't a ***** to anyone with a 3rd gen, and as a matter of fact, noone in my racing group or my car club is either. I don't know, maybe I am rare!

My Mustang was my winter beater last year, all 10 mpg worht of it, but now I have the Jeep which gets about 12.5!!!

Hey man, you live in Revere? The beach is great for showing the ride off. My family's moving back into the area in a month or two, and I wouldn't mind finding some cars to cruise with. Any car clubs or anything in the area?

I dont have much against he older stlye mustangs (87-92 gt and 93 cobra) but I really dislike the 94-present mustangs. Just becasue almost everyone i know that has one thinks they are bad-asses and are fast. Bout 90% didnt even pay for them, their parents did, so that should let you know. Ya my older brother with the 1991 WS6 had a 1987 Mustang GT 5 speed before that and him and my dad raced (when my car wa smy dads) and my dad beat him by 4-5 cars i think. The stang had and off-road h-pipe, dual cats, and a cam. Not sure what gears it was. I run 3.08 gears w/ 295/50 r15 on weld prostars. And, the procharger isnt even on my car anymore, im selling it. The guy is suppose to buy at end of month, but if you want it, 2,700 for everything (including boost gauge.) I have raced serious about 12 times, lost only 2. I have lost to a 1995 white Toyota Supra twin turbo w/ couple mods. and a 2002 Mustang Cobra.

Yeah, i'm down the beach every weekend in the summer cruising through. The imports have taken it over so i don't stop much and hang out anymore.

I'm in a few local Mustang clubs, we just meet up and hang out but we also do things like go-kart racing, or cruise up to Hampton beach and stuff like that. Also there are some good local car meets at fudgerockers and other places nearby.
