Tried a DeTomaso Pantera on the freeway today...
He wouldn't play.
It was a really nice one, yellow, SUPER fat rubber in the back, nice wheels, nice exhaust.
It was an old dude in a suit...he kept giving it the gas a bit to let me know he was there, but he wouldn't drop the hammer for the life of him. I was in the 84', and just wanted to see him get on it. I dropped it in 4th at 80 in the lane next to him right behind him, launched up next to himon the other side of him, (cut over 2 lanes) and was right up next to him in 4th...let it loose and expected him to go with it but he didn't, and we had room too.
Some old dudes with all the show and no go.

Or tons of go and the mighty ability of restraint and confident in that they already know their car is fast, seeing no need to prove it to anyone else.

alot of people just build a beefy 351 ford and throw it in those things....they were known for easy 200mph capability because of their body shape and ride height....and they weigh NOTHING.
pretty rare.....cool cars

alot of old dudes around my way have all go, all show, and sit in a parking lot most of the time...
they either race at a drag stip or dont race at all most likely..
but i have seen some get on it some to prove a point

People do not have to build a beefy 351 to throw in them,,, that is what they came with, along with a zf transaxle six speed. I have fuel injected two of them and they are some pretty quick cars. Not to mention they stick to the road like snot on a tissue
