there is this kid that bugs me every day in school saying he wants to race me for pink slips ounce i get my car on the road in the summer around june.
his car is all stock with a 5 speed wich makes him think he will win just because my car is an automatic and his is 5 speed and remember my car was all rebuilt a little while back and his hasnt had any thing what so ever to it.
he ask me today if id race him for pink slips and i told him no if any thingh id race him for money instead just because by any chance soemthing gives out in the race i wont loose my car over it just a little money.
my mods are in my sig below should this be something that i should loose sleep over or not.
the kid picks on me and tells me that my car must be slow if i wont race for slips because he thinks that i must not believe that my car is faster then his and ill looz

yea, you shouldn't have any problem at all. But I would not recommend pink slips. just say you will race for money, and if he says you suck you wont race for slips because your car is slow then just say "I don't want to race for slips because I don't want a piece of Sh*t civic" that will shut him up and that way the ball is in his court. I would be willing to bet that even if you did race for pink slips he wouldn't pay up if you win, but if you lost he sure will bother you about getting your slip.

 

Yeah you should get him. If i were u id go get some giggle gas and tell him that id race him for slip's.

 

lol pinkslips...another kid useing FATF terminology, "I need NOS" IMHO ure camaro is worth more looks nicer and is faster, so what would u do with a stock 93 civic even if u won? ...go to the store and get groceries with it...because thats what they were made for. just race for cash, maybe enough for a SS ram air hood, it would look badass on ure Z

Dude a 91 civic is slow enough, even with a 5spd, that id consider letting you take my car out to race this guy, just so he wouldn't be completely wiped out.

you have him easy, if he's stock. Just run him for money with what ya got. Don't use n2o until your good with it off the line or you'll spin and he will get it. Just bringing up the juice because of the other post.

 

you'll take him easily, i raced my friend witha 95 civic with a 5 speed awhile back and i pretty much destroyed him. and i have a stock LO3, u have a decent amount of mods to your car. it's pretty safe to say that you'll beat him easily.

 

Just put some money on it and stomp him.

 

ive head the pink slips thing for years even before the fast and the furious came out......but its still retarded, where did that come from? the title for a car in massachusetts is a brownish gold ornate heavy paper document with iridescent trim and such so it cant be forged. its not pink.

if you won someones car and its a POS, there is only one option......get in it right away, and slam it into a guardrail....then give him the keys back and leave

 

Pink slips were done back in the muscle car age. They were pink because they wernt worried about forgery like today. And it was done more often then you might think.

A guy in once challenged my dads 9 sec 1/4 drag radial Galaxy for pink slips. He lost badly, and was crying "My dads gonna kill me!"

I know if I won a car, if it was worth some money I'd sell it, but if it was a piece of crap like a civic or something, I'd beat the living crap out of it, go like 60 mph and pull the hand break, smoke a tire until it blows up, take it off road at 40 mph, hehe, whatever.

It's highly unlikely that someone will pay up betting on pinks these days. Unless you're a thug with your connections, you arnt going to get it.

ive seen the engine in his car its all stock lol actualy he just got done replacing a head and timing chain cas they went bad lol lol duh junk. he is talking all this crap about suping up this summer but i have no worrys because he has no money to do it at all and he thinks suping up is puting a chrome intake on it and a fart pipe.

 

well ya i know the pinkslip thing has been around for a long time. what i meant was that FATF is the only source that a lot of these kids have about cars. ignorance thats all

 

the funny thing is the kid that wants to race me and is choosing to keep his civic because he says the gas prices are to high he used to acualy be into v8 heavily well trucks with v8 in them but thats alot better then little 4 cyclinder grocery getters.

i alwase get told that im a dumb a$$ because i bought my car cause blah blah blah the gas prices are to high seriosly id i have to go a day or to with out being able to play after work with my car for a little wile it is a sacrifice i am willing to take cause id much rather have my camaro then a 4 cylinder import im shure alot of you guys will agree with me.
lol today he sed it again and his same friend that owns i think like a 97 neon keeps on telling all the girls in my class that his car will do 160mph if he takes teh rev limiter off of it and its all stock too i just sit there and ignore the fact when he ses that it makes me just want to snap and tell him there is no way in hell that a stock neon would ever even see 140 id think even with out a rx limiter.
man it is so annoying when they brag up there cars to these girls and they fall for it every time too even tho every thing they are telling them isnt true.

also gettinga 4 cyl grocery getter... I wouldn't mind having one. I know I can make it just as fast as any 8 cyl on this board. but I would like to have the gas milage with the 4 rather then the v8. also I likes the lighter weight.
but most of the 4 cyl I would pass one


this kid shouldn't be racing for pink slips in his stock civic... that is why I wonder if something is up here. kids don't race pink slips unless they have something in there... or just really really really really ...... really lack knowledge of cars

when he was saying it there was a bunch of other kids around so i think he was trying to show off. ive seen his car before there isnt anythign i mean anything done to it.
but he ses that he is going to supe it up this summer but me nowing him he sed that also just because there were others around to think he is cool. and if that kid with the neon keeps talking and making him self believe that his car will actualy go that fast i guess ill have to put him in his place also this summer, and when i do it ill make shure that all the kids they braged there stock low out put cars up to see that they are just pos in the long run and that they were just talking smack.

 

In the race I just posted a few minutes ago, the 3.3L Intrepid burned 1/8th of a tank in the time it took to go and get beat by me and the Tempo V6. Both my gas gauge and the Tempo's didn't move a bit during the races.

Its not the 4 cylinder that gets the great gas mileage its the size and weight of the car. My car gets way better gas mileage with the 305 then the same car does with the 3.8L V6. You have to have enough torque to move the car around to get decent mileage. The lower the RPM's your peak torque is at the better gas mileage you will get.

 

less rotating mass also has a part in it
and with a larger ci motor it is going to try to sux in more air, so you are going to have to put quite a restriction in the airflow to prevent it from doing so.... a/k/a throttle. problem is it creates more of a pumping loss for the motor as well.

 

I had a kid at mcdonalds that wanted to race my T/A for slips with his "11 seconds at 160 mph civic in stock body trim." Well, I wouldnt go for slips, and since he never had his car there, he would always decline a ride in the firebird. It was his siter's car, she was cool about it (had intake and exhaust, clean black car with fart can) and she told him "Chris are you &%^&^&^ stupid." The grin on my face was priceless.

 

funny stuff the coments thses guys say about there 4s being able to do these incredable top speeds al stock or with just a fart can.
duh i have a fart can my car must me able to go 40mph faster now.
