What can I expect from a 91 Bird LO3

Hey I was really lookin hard for my 2nd third gen. I wanted a 91 or 92 camaro or firebird with a 305 tpi stick or a 350. I ended up gettin my slow 91 tbi 305. I'm thinkin i could run mid 16's. What do u think. I got a friend with a 96 probe 24valve 5 speed v-6. I think hell rip me a new one. What time u guys think i'd pull in the 1/4 mile?

Damn man that thing looks awesome! I think you will run anywhere from a high 15 to a mid 16 depending on the condition of the car.

its in near mint condition. Although high mileage. 90,000. I raced a 97 montecarlo with a v-6 to about 70, and had em by 2 car lengths. But he had a much better start. there wuz an old lady crossin the street i had to wait for. Believe that.

I think I'm gonna take my bone stock 92 RS to the track this weekend and see what she runs. She's got 98,000 miles on her and still runs like a champ with no problems. I wanna get some base line runs before i start the mods

i seriously do not think that you will lose to the probe. i have raced several v-6 probes and not have a problem with any of them, so i wouldnt really worry too much about the Ford **** probes.

You gotta be careful, the probe v6 sucks off the line but they pull good after that. It's better than the 1.8L 6cyl, both are mazda engines. I know my daily driver grand am runs mid 15's, I pull my gf's 92 L03 pretty good, but I run pretty even with the probes. I kill them from the launch, but they come back quick and usually edge me out. Could be a good race if you have a tip top L03 as I have seen a few quick ones on here. But if I was betting, I would pick the probe.

They are pretty common actually. Most 99+ grand am gt's run mid-high 15's. There are a few gt's that have run a 16-16.2, but they are rare. The fastest stock 99+ reported time was 15.3. I think he said he iced his intake. I'm pretty sure his name is iceman. Most se's run low 16's. There are quite a few people with timeslips over there to. The only difference between a gt and a se is gears(3.29 gt, 3.05 se) and tires (16" gt, 15" se)

You can head over to grandamgt.com and check it out for yourself. Just please don't be one of those idiots that just bombs someone elses boards with ignorant comments though. Everyone there is pretty nice. If you have question and ask it nicely everyone will be fine with you. Just like here.

And my daily driver isn't completely stock, but pretty close. Most of the stuff is brakes/suspension for towing the boat.
