After school today, me and my "Arch Nemesis" caught a light for the first time since I got my new heads. His car is a 94 5.0 5spd, it has 3.73s, cai, chip, pullies, just about most of the normal 5.0 bolt ons etc. Before he would cream me pretty bad, I have seen him run a 14.2@95 before, because we are actually pretty good friends and go to the track together sometimes, my best run as of last weekend was a 15.2@96mph my 60' was 2.67 because I can't hook up anymore on street tires, I know I have the mph and potential for low 14s maybe high 13s but I just can't launch. We lined up and I told him to go from a roll, which he wouldn't do, so the light turns green and I have to slip the clutch out to avoid roasting the tires, at this point he gets about a car and a half ahead of me(did I mention he has nitto drag radials on his car?). As soon as I got going he never got any farther ahead of me and he was about a car/car and half ahead of me the whole time, we went to about 85 and the let out because of traffic. Just though I would share, now as soon as I get some drag radials we're gonna race again and we should be about neck and neck then.

I also forgot to add that I had a passenger with me that no lie weighed 260lbs...he's a big kid lol

 

Get some traction and low 14s should be easy. Actually his 14.2 at 95 is pretty good as far as traction goes. With a 2.0 60' you should see very similar numbers.

 

yea low 14s should be easy with some drag radials, I also still have some carb tuning to do, I am running really rich.
