just got my *** beat

Wow, I just got my *** handed to me about 15 minutes ago. I was just goin on a nice easy drive to wal-mart and a monte carlo ss (roughly 1987) pulled up next to my 92 RS 3.1L. I don't know why I raced him cause I knew I was gonna lose, it'd just been a while since I'd had a race. So anyway, we both floored it off the light, and we were actaully even up to about 20 mph, but by 50 mph he was about 2 car lengths ahead. It was bad. And I know he's gonna go away bragging that he beat a camaro, not taking into account that I have a puny V-6. But this made my decision clear. I wasn't sure if I wanted to work this summer and buy and new engine and tranny, or get rims and a paint job and get the engine/tranny next summer. Without a doubt, I'm getting the engine/tranny now, I hate gettin beat. Well, just had to share that embarresing story with yall.

Quick question, why is your user name ...385HP? BTW, good choice going with the new engine/tranny this summer!

its 385 cause that was the hp of the crate motor i've been lookin at for a while, and until recently, was for sure gonna get. Chevy 350 Fast Burn (385hp, 385 lbs/trq) for $4500. But when I realized that I'd need a couple thousand more for a new tranny, I changed my plans to the corvette engine and tranny. Guess my name should be CamaroRS140hp for now,

No shame in losing to a monte. Do the engine swap and then see what happens You can redeem yourself later on. It's nice to see someone admitting to losing though. I appreciate your honesty. Thank you and good luck with the swap. Sounds like a pretty badass setup you will have.
