iroc vs ss monte

me and a friend are probably going to race this upcoming weekend

he has an 85ish monte ss, with a L69 atuomatic tranny and 3.73 rear gears

i have an 85 iroc, with teh L69 t-5 and 3.73 rear gears

both of the motors are basically stock and both are complete cars

i know it will be close but who will be the faster car

and im fairly good at shifting

the race will be a half mile drag, at a fairly safe location

it might give him an advantage out of the hole, but his greater weight and drag force are gonna slow him down.....

This race belongs to you. You have less weight and more power. Go beat up on him!

Dude if I can beat them with a pretty much stock TBI and good shifting, you'll murder him.

You also have more torque---I believe the Monte SS was only 225ft-lbs. I owned one---only 0.3 faster then my 2.73 TBI 305 Camaro
