You're damn right if I see a nice clean thirdgen on the street I'm going to try to get them to race.

I'll be at VMP friday for our points race. See you there...

I'm feeling giddy. The classic showdown. 3rd gen mustang, 3rd gen camaro, both running much faster than stock. Money on the line.... Who's it gonna be? We ought to start a pot.

I got $500 on the red Z28 if this actually goes down. I think we established last week that I ain't got nothing for a car trapping 123 mph

I sayeth nomoreth !!!!!!!!!! I think he understands his spot in the foodchain... You gotta watch what 3rd gens ya try to pick on on the street ..Not all run 14s .You seem to be a pretty decent guy from your posts on here..But ya might wanna cool your antics on the street a lil..I understand wanting a street race more than anyone..but dude when someone isnt gonna bite..dont keep f***ing with them..Im not gonna race when there is a cop at every other intersection and traffic everywhere..Looks like you have a pretty good running auto stang.I already have plans to go to Richmond Dragway friday night and on sunday..But for 500 bucks i could be persuaded to come to VMP if thats what we are racing for? lol..Anyways see ya around..

It's not about trying to pick on someone "lower on the food chain"...it's abou seeing another nice ride out on the street and having a little fun. Win, lose, or draw...it's all about having fun.

But ya might wanna cool your antics on the street a lil..I understand wanting a street race more than anyone..but dude when someone isnt gonna bite..dont keep f***ing with them
Everyone else cleared out the way to let us run and I bucked my car twice trying to get you to bite. Kevin is the one who was doing all the **** talking at the stop light. I apologize if he offended you, but as long as he wasn't hurting anyone I was going to let the kid have a little fun. Bear in mind, his '68 isn't even putting 90 hp to the rear wheels. Remember your first ride in a really fast car?

But for 500 bucks i could be persuaded to come to VMP if thats what we are racing for?
So I get $500 if you beat me and you get $500 if I beat you? Deal

I'll be glad to race you as soon as I get everything running and tuned right. It's just your average heads, cam, stalled, and nitroused LS1 All in fun, all in fun.

We'll all have to get together for some fun in a few weeks once you've got the nitrous tune down and I've got the new combo tuned. Who's bringing the vid. camera?

What I wouldn't give to be in Virginia that night. Why do the East Coast guys get to have all the fun? Sounds like it's gonna be a blast out there. For what it's worth, I'm glad to see a "friendly" post between a thirdgen Camaro and a thirdgen Stang. Here lately it seems like all they want to do is fight each other over pointless "stock vs. stock" debate. Now it's time for 11sec Camaro vs. 11sec Stang. Good luck to both and don't forget the video camera!

Let's set up a VA meet at one of the dragstrips in the next month or so........ sound good?

We should be able to bring at least 10 or so cars out.

Besides, I'm itching to get mine back to the track. My only #'s came with a tranny that wouldn't shift to 3rd under power, I had to let off the gas to get it to shift. And the car runs much, much better since then. And I'm really starting to like the used Ripper shifter I picked up last week. Traction is a joke, but I'm still curious to see what it runs.

I hope to get the 165 ECM conversion done the weekend after next, and with the chip I have on the way, that should help a bit as well.

We could do VMP or Richmond, either way.

What do you guys think?

I'm also always up for a little saturday afternoon cruising. Nothing like meeting with a bunch of fast cars somewhere and riding to one of the local cruise-ins together when the weather is nice.

Well talk to everybody you know, maybe we can throw something together.

GOOD NEWS......just installed a ripper shifter in the IROC I scored cheap. It's the old design Ripper that had the adjustable stops, and while it's great......I think I just broke the tranny mount

I hit 2nd about 4800 RPM and the car protested a bit, and now I can fell the tranny banging up against the car on high RPM shifts. I need to go ahead and order a poly mount I guess......

I'm really looking forward to seeing what the car will run now...

Take it easy on that T5, or it'll be the next thing to break. Last year I cracked my tranny mount in half and ripped my torque arm out of the tranny twice. I think the WC T5 will last if not powershifted or any clutch dumping.

My friend has an 88 blazer that we swapped a 4.3/T-5 into. The first time he powershifted it the tranny broke. Just thought I would throw that end there .
