My worst loss was to an orange 70 something 1/2 ton chevy. If your from anywhere around OKC you've seen this before. At the time, I was unaware that he has a 502 in it. I was cruising our usually cruise spot when this beat up looking orange truck pulls next to me with a camper shell, rag for a gas cap and his dog in the passanger side. I dont even pay attention to him, but the integra to my left. I run the integra from about a 25 roll when I hear this monsterous engine. I look to my right only to see him leaving me like I was standing still. Saw the same guy at the track 3 weeks later. 11.95 @ 121.

In the RS I got stomped by a modded '03 Cobra at the track. I ran 13.2 to his 12.2 at 124. I did pretty good until the 330' mark after that it was over.

My worst happened at the track. It was a black 90 Mustang LX coupe. It had a cowl and some ET Streets! Lets just say take a look at these times.

I ran: 14.022 @ 98.82
He ran: 10.568 @ 127.74

He won by 3.604! Lets just say I felt like I was crawling to the finish line!

Back when I only had exhaust I lost to an Eclipse GSX on the street, by a lot. Then at the track I thought I was racing a civic, but it turned out to be an MR2. I lost by 2 full seconds. I would beat both of them now though.

worst loss on the street has to be to a 6speed C5... from a roll. we went from 50 to about 100 (well, HE was probably doing 120 by the time i hit 100mph). he had to have at least a dozen carlengths on me when i shut down. my poor, poor TPI Vette

:hail: LS1 from a punch

Ran a few 9 second cars at the track...obviously didn't hang with them very well at the time. Worst losses on the street...'70 Charger w/426 hemi in it (not an original hemi car) put buslenghts on me from a 60 mph roll back when my car was running 13's. My friend also routinely put buslengths on me out on the highway in his turbocharged GT back when I had the old combo...I don't think he'd do that anymore though. We'll see when he gets his car back on the road He's got about a 100 hp advantage, but my car is about 600 lbs lighter and geared better.

My worst loss was against a Viper. I floored it, he didn't, and he still won. Well, he passed me not at WOT, and right when his exhaust was at my window he hit it. Dam those things. One day...

Lost to a civic on the highway one day. I was going about 65 when he pulls up to me in the slow lane and we both gun it, he was just gone. I'm in th 92 lo3 and what in the hell did he have under the hood? By the time my engine shut down at 115 he had 10-15 lengths on me. That was when I first bought her, now I think I could give him game.

oh man I got beat by the rattyest looking mustang on the highway, from like 60 to 80 or 90 or something, raced him once by going down to 4th and he pulled on me and there was traffic so I stopped, when the traffic cleared he wanted to go again so I went to 3rd and was going the same speed as him and I think he hit the spray or his powerband and took off like the dickens! he had a damn videocamara too so its on tape, if you see a black Z28 getting beat by a primered stang on the net or something, thats me

i have a bunch of "worst" losses...

first thing that comes to mind was a modded supra. this was back when i first got my car. i am sitting at a light about to turn left, and this black (what i thought was ****) revs at me....so i'm like what!!?

i get back on the road an catch up to him at a light...i remember reading the back of his car and thinking...supra...wtf kinda supra is this. then the light turned green. i nailed it...he cruises up beside me (my car is screaming), the passenger looks over at me, then ...VRRRAAAAAAAAOOOOOMMMMM....and he leaves me there like i was in park.

ohhh the pain.

My worst loss has to be to this local kid named reed. He has a 95 H*#*$ Civic hatchback. It also has a h22, and a t6 turbo.

Driving down the highway i see this little red thing come up on me pretty good, so i down it to third, and he manages to pull even to my door, then he rolls down his window, waves, downshifts, and goes BYE BYE. I was at about 105 when he down shifted, in a matter of seconds he has at least 20 cars on me.

that is one import i respect. over 400 whp, dyno proved, without the nitro.

My bird is out of commission right now but i was out with my friend in his 1990 3.1 liter RS when we noticed we were coming up on a Prowler at a light...it turned green before we got there so we were at a roll and he was stopped. So my friend goes WOT but we just couldn't close any ground on that thing and I don't think he was even trying...Oh well, those prowlers are pretty badass...

I wasn't sure if I was going to share this with the class, but a few weeks ago I was driving home on the highway when this black 2003 "mustang" starts following me trying to get me to race. My wife was with me, and she doesn't really like me racing, so I didn't. After about 5 miles, he gave up trying. I get off on my exit and we caught a light some how. I wasn't planning on racing, so i took off the line normally and he was right at my door. I dropped it to 1st and hit it hopping to catch him off guard. He hit first so hard, he spun all the way past me and into 2nd, still spinning. I let off a loser and my wife was mad at me. Never mess with a 2003 cobra with a front mount and a 150 shot.

When my car was stock I tried to race a C6 vette (probly modded) up the on ramp on the hiway, I was behind him flooring it and he was pulling away fast, at 110 I could hardly see him, could never catch up to that one. Once in my old car an 89 BMW 325i stick (ran mid 15's stock) I caught a light with a 99 or up Roush stang obviously modded. I revved at him a couple of times and he revved back..light turned green and I actually got him to 25 with a perfect launch, then I see a green whoosh on the right, hear him break em loose in 2nd pulls 5 cars and chirps into 3rd, but I did have 5 people in my car at the time, and I really wasnt expecting to win, just wanted to see him take off..

An 02 SS MTI heads and cam camaro with all the bolt-ons. But like a dumbass, I missed third gear and he flew right by me. Driver errors still count as loss. He runs low 11's on a 100 shot.

Similar to this. '02 WS6 that had MTI heads & cam, intake, longtubes, lid, 3200 stall in a built auto, moser 12 bolt with 3.73's, drag radials, oh yeah, and a 150 shot. Lets just say from a 40 roll he pretty much disappeared. Fun race nonetheless though. It's always cool watching badass cars.

but I didn't miss a gear

When I had the modded '87 305 LB9 TPI engine in the Iroc, lost by 1 1/2 cars to a 2000 SVT mustang. I dayuum near bogged the car out dropping the clutch from 1st gear and had a whole lot of catching up to do. He had about 5 cars up on me but I pulled real hard on him top end. My driver error but I took my lose respectfully knowing he would have gone down had I not messed up.

My worst loss on the street was my first race. 89 mustang 5 speed with gears, exhaust, underdrive pullies and a very good driver. Got me by I don't know how many car lengths hehe. At the strip durring street legal drag night I got lined up with the 2nd fastest car there. He ran a 11.23 @ 124 mph to my worst time of the night of 15.80 @ 89 mph. My next run I got it down to a 15.25 @ 90 mph after some advice on launching the thing lol. Ah well, I'll be in the 11's with the new engine and a small shot of what's in the blue bottle

HE
Have a few... all about the same.
One was this GTA that had a rebuild and quite stout TTA. Some people that go to etown have seen it and has been in several thirdgen movies. Its red with a white nose. It was my first time at the track and i got off at good start ahead of him... all of a sudden BLAM!! the dude goes flying past me and finished with an 11.7 to my 15.4.... Recent was an integra with a turbo and nitrous... beat me by .4 in the quater 14.9 to 15.3. i had her till 1000 mark... then she just went right on by. And it was a chick. My gf kept making fun of me because i lost to an import driven by a girl.... things will change next year...

i got another one....

i was out cruising around looking for a race in glendale. i pull up to grand ave and my friend with me says....there ya go, race that. i look over and see a beat up 1st gen camaro. i laughed and said i wasnt going to waste my gas..

so i look over again and he starts edging up to the light...so i'm like....you want some!!? (lol), light turns green, and he puts 3 cars on me instantly....then i start to catch up a lil bit, and the next light turns red. so we both stop, i roll my window down to try n talk to him, but he wouldnt look over...he just gives me a couple revs...then the light turns green and he puts about 4 cars on me this time.....and then another, and another, and another....

i turned around and went looking for a stang.

Worst loss in the 1989 Formula: Got beat by a stockish 2nd Gen Eclipse. Very humiliating.
Worst loss in 12 second 5.0 GT: Got spanked with my girl riding shotgun by a big-block 2nd Gen Camaro. Wasn't even close...
Worst loss in the heads/cam/nitrous 200 Z28: none yet

My worst loss was against my friend's Chevelle. He has a custom built (he does it himself) 327. The engine redlines at 7,500, has 13:1 compression, and about ~650HP (I forget the exact reads on the dyno). He also has a custom built 400 tranny, and a 10 bolt 4.54 rear. He's not tubbed, so he may only run low 11s - he has a lot of traction problems.

I don't even have to go into details on the race - it was more like a slaughter. He's rebuilding my motor/tranny right now, mostly to keep me on the road, but he's throwing a few things in.

My other worst loss was at a Test and Tune, against a Supra turbo. He was running an AT, as am I - and our 60' times were very close - but I heard that turbo spool, and he was gone. He did redlight, so technically I beat him but not really.
