Just wondering if I should be worried.

I've been working on my car for a couple of years now and am rather impressed with its performance. Feels pretty good ( see signature line),

Well my big brother has just informed me that he has a new toy. ( His mid-life crisis must have hit after mine.)

So do you all think I have anything to worry about? He lives in Oregon and I live in Northern California...sooooo eventually we SHALL MEET.

Yeah...I think those two things in the last picture might be a bit of a problem.

But I can still beat him......right?????

You just might at that. I know a guy that builds those things and races them for a living. I have seen them run impressive quarter mile times. Even stock they are no slouch. However they are not the holy import grail that alot of people think they are.

What does your car run in the 1/4? What does your HP/TQ numbers look like? It's hard to say without knowing what the performance increase over stock is that your getting on your current setup.

His looks stock. Get your tuning right and pray he doesn't decide to throw some parts on his car. RX-7s are insane handlers and don't weigh a helluva lot.

With a good tune, you should take him if he's stock. If he upgrades much, it's a driver's race.

Now race him and tell us how you did!

I don't have any times and I don't have any dyno info.

This is my own d**n fault. Last Christmas I took him for a ride in my Formula and got his "go fast" juices flowing.

Really can't figure out when he turned on to **** though. Started with a Mustang and Ended up with an RX-7.

I might have to dig a little deeper for some insurance.

Nope. Simply because it's a Japanese car doesn't mean it's CORN. It's a 1.3L car that can definitely rock. CORN would be a car with no performance, bad body kit, big wing, loud, and generally useless. A car that makes every attempt to look fast without being even remotely quick is what I call CORN. Not a stock RX-7 turbo that can whoop 90% of the cars on this board quite handily.

Hmmmmm...

I guess that my interpretation of that word and how it applies to cars might be wrong.

In fact I was of the opinion that SCRUB referred to a car produced in Japan..or Korea.

If so.....OOOOOPS. Won't happen again!

I'm well aware that my bro's new ride has the ability to school some domestic muscle....that's why I started this thread.

Either way....I get to take it for a spin win or....los....lo...l...oh you know..that other word!
