not close at all, 3.4L DOHC cars run low 15s stock.

I beat my friends 93 Lumina Z34 with my Probe GL, my best was a 16.18@84 with that. But he had a heavy stereo system( 4 12's and 4 amps!). I would say it was a high 15 car, MAYBE a mid 15 before he added the system. He is going to bring it to the track though eventually, so we will see.

no i WON'T lose guys...the TA is my project car and the Z34 is my new winter car. it's been a year since the TA ran so i forgot how fast it was. looks like my guess was right about the Z34 bein faster..it feels like it, but it still wont roast the tires like the ol' TA did.

3.4 DOHC are better from a roll because of DOHC. They are probally mid 15s, and have almost no aftermarket because of design of the engine. My freind has a Turbo Grand Prix and he was told me **** about the DOHC, is a decent engine but a pain to work on.

Are we talking about when you had the LG4 or with your 350 that you are building? If it's the 350, what are the specs? If it's the LG4, then i'm sorry...

Just take both to New England Dragway and run them.

Yea, look at the tech articles and the cam specs and hp on the two engines; LG4 vs. L69. Cams can make all the difference...

I found this in the corvette forums...you should win in the 1/4, but after that...the Vette will be gone..I've driven a '00 auto C5..fast car!!
i have a 2002 A4 with 3.15 gears
after i got it broken in good we took it to darlington int'l dragway
my first run EVER 13.523(traction control on)

after that i turned my traction control off for the rest of the day

2nd 13.103@105.99
3rd 13.202@105.25
4th 13.249@102.71
5th 13.050@103.65

that day the weather was perfect around 65, and the track was awsome even with run flats my 60' times were right at 2.0 even got one 1.98
