could i take a lightly modded MR2 with a bone stock TBI?

Thats a close one but i think you will lose. you will get him great off the line, and the 5spd helps but i think you will get run down. At least spend 20 bucks for an open air element. That will make a world of difference and every little bit helps out.

nah im just having fun with my car right now till i get my LT1 so im not putting ne money into this engine, but thanx for the reply, he has a 5 spd too, but i think im probably a better driver...

i personally think you should spend the extra $20 since you have to live with the engine for a while...just remember the LO3 falls on its face after about 4500 RPMs so don't redline it when you race

is it a turbo car, because if it is, it doesn't matter where u shift, your gonna lose. if it isn't u should win, considering i took a 92 mr2 non-turbo in my 82z, bone stock.

no it isnt a non-turbo, he has a turbo and it is pretty quick and i got the point i will lose but what is all this about shifting at 4500??

The LO3 makes its power really low i think from 2200-4500 RPMs, I think it has something to do with the heads...but the LO3 has no top end power :lala:

no, it's a just a piece of **** motor lol. ****ty intake manifold, poor flowing heads..hell I think my turbo 6 has a bigger cam in it...

too vague. Just a simple motor swap you're looking at high 13's low 14's. But of course you wouldn't put a bone stock motor in

a person that only has 1550.00... i might just drive my LO3 around for a while and mod the LT1 what do u guyz think i should do?
