Well If you run the times in your sig then you do, but why did you even post this here?

Through a 1/8 you'll have a clear advantage cause you're hooking really well. Through 1/4, if the times in the sig are what you'll run, you'll also win. However, by the end of the 1/4, you're already giving up 6-7 mph and the vette will run you down shortly thereafter. Just be sure to race him from a stop. Oh, and you should probably have posted this question on stang net. They've got a mustang forum for things just like this.

When I was at the track, last weekend, there were two Corvettes (newest body style, no idea what years). I only got to see them make one pass each. I've been curious as to what they run, as I've been talking alot of smack to a friend of mine who has an '00 Vette, trying to prod him into racing me. One of them ran a 13.4xx @ 102 MPH, the other one ran a 13.2xx @ 104 MPH. I don't know if these are typical track times or not. Either way, like the others have said, if you are running the time in your sig, you should have no problem (unless it's a Z06).

The Vette will have the big mph advantage as it should see a 106+ trap, but you will have the traction advantage. Just go out, dont miss any gears and hook, and it should be close!

if this race happens at a real dragstrip, you will win.

however, seeing your mph isnt real high compared to your E/T, that leaves me to believe your car is all launch. so if this is a street race, you wont be able to hook like you would at the track and the Vette should win

Not necessarily - I have the same exact tires (BFG 235/60/15 drag radials) and my car hooks up far better on the street than at the track. On the street, I can launch at around 2000 RPM without breaking the tires loose. At the track, the tires break loose no matter what RPM I launch at.

But he is seeing low 1.7s for the 60' with that mph and time, and you wont be duplicating that on the street! I think the Vette should take him, but it might be close!
