Attention Philly 3rd genners, DO NOT RACE IN PHILLY! And if you do, DO NOT WIN!!! "Why?" you may be asking? Read below...

A friend of mine from school drives into Center City Philly every weekend to go to Pat's Cheese Steaks (best ever by the way). Well his car is a 90 Trans Am L98, auto (of course). So he pulls up to a red light on Broad St. next to an old Crown Vic. Probably early 90s late 80s he said. So the guy driving is black, and he has 2 other guys in the back seats (no one shotty). He asks my friend if his car is a V8. My friend says yes and revs his engine. The Crown Vic revs back, and the other light goes yellow. So my friend said he stalled it up, and when the light went green he punches it. So he of course spins like a maniac through 1st and half of second, with the Vic spinning in first and then getting a half car lead. So by the time my friends car stops spinning, he has almost two cars on the other guy, and is almost at 70mph on this normally busy main street in Philly (luckily it was like 2 am). Well my friend decides to put the hazards on, and ends the race. So they hit another light, because there is one every block on Broad, and this is the f-ed up part. One of the guys in the back seat pulls out a pistol and shoots my friends car twice , before he tears *** through the red light and is chased by the Vic. There was also a car behind the Vic which called the police immediately. So my friend uses his speed and common sense to pull into the nearest police station (which ironically is on the way to Pat's) and so the Vic just keeps going. Turns out the shots hit his passenger side ground effect and the trunk hatch (good thing he couldn't aim, or maybe he just wanted to scare my friend). So now the cops are looking for one of those Crown Vics and yadda yadda, and my friend's car is getting bullets pulled out of it. Luckily he is ok and he was alone in the car. He was still white as a sheet when he told me this today. So if you want to race in Philly, DO NOT WIN.

WOW, Thats messed up. It really doesn;t suprise me though. It's gangstas yo. Hard core gangstas.

 

Got 2 storys. First was the one I was in but isnt thirdgen related. I was driving my friends 03 Gt with him in the car down a 6 lane 50mph road. A new looking Lincoln Town car is a car length ahead of us with 2 girls in the back seat. I get on it and pass them. I let off then they get next to me again so I do it again. The girls start to wave at us so I slow down and a HUGE Mexican leans out the window and throws a brick at my friends car then the driver floors it away. I follow them for about 5 miles as my friend calls the cops. They turn down a road and fly. I keep right up with them till the guy slams on the brakes and stops right infront of the big Latin Kings (Mexican gang) hideout in the area. I stop about 20 feet back. As they stop the doors open and the big Mexican (about 220pounds) and the driver (about 150) gets out. I get out (170pounds and 6'3") of my friends car and as soon as my friend steps out of the passanger side (he's about 250pounds and 6') they big Mexican opens the truck and starts pulling a shot gun out. As soon as I saw the gun we jumped back in the car and I did a "Rockford" turn. As I was backing up and doing the 180 he was putting a shot gun shell in the gun. He didnt hit the car and we met the police down the street. They didnt find them that night but contacted the owner a couple of days later and he said we broke there window and they didnt do anything. They were Latin Kings that just got out of jail. My friend got insurance money to fix his car and I dont know what happend to the other guys.

 

Ok, the other time I wasnt there but this is the story. This kid I know has a 87 GTA with Rims and subs and he drives loud and like a a'hole. He's going down a 4 lane 50mph road and a Expidition with Rims, subs, exhaust, and really tinted windows pull up next to him and they rev at eachother and race. He smokes the Expidition and at the next light he was turning left when the someone in the Expidition throws a tire iron at his car they they go left. He was in the middle of the intersection and couldnt follow them. All I said to that kid was, "We'll you deserve it. Expiditon with rims, subs, exhaust, and tinted windows and you still messed with it? I'm surprised you didnt get shot." My friend was in his car in the passanger seat so I know he was telling the truth. I 'v heard some other stories like that too. Thats like what my Grandparents tell me that live in Florada. "Flick someone off and get shot." This is in Illinois in the suburbs. Wheaton is supposed to have the most churches per square mile in the world or something so I guess these things happen everywhere.

 

Damn man, that latin story is nuts. Good thing you got out of there.

wow that must of been a very scary situation.

 

Thats why I dont drive the Z in "certain" area's of town. It also doesn't hurt to have your concealed hand gun license.

 

Some people just have to get that last 'word' in, don't they... "if I can't win, I'll make you need a clean pair of shorts...!" The ultimate in poor losers.

 

Wow them stories are pretty f*cked up! I guess Ill think twice about racing pimped out caddys or driving through the hood. Id say take their freaking license plate down and report em to the po, po,s. Hope the get locked up for their bullcr@p.
