the 83 vs a 99 v6 bird?

Hi, gotta buddy talkin crap bout my little HO. Thinks he can take me. I just got a K&N air filter, but we won't be kicking till after christmas, so I might get some exhaust and a couple other things. He is stock. Stock vs stock who would win? T-5 here, he has a automatic but he don't understand manually shifting helps sometimes.

A friend of mine has a 2000 V6 bird that runs 15.3, but he has exhaust. What options does the 99 have, because there is a limited slip 3.42 option which would help him a lot. I'm guessing you have the L69, so if it is in really good condition I say you. It should come down to a drivers race though, so I hope you can drive stick well. Good luck.

The 99 birds were sloowwwww. We had one up at the dealership for a while, no pull at all, and SEVERELY lacking in low end torque. I'm gonna go with you on this one. POSITIVE

I wish I could...but it won't fit.

EDIT: Oh yea, his style of driving is put it in Drive, dunno if he will even brake torque lol, and when the go signal sounds or changes or w/e, hes gonna slam to floor lol. So he's not th ebest driver. He tried to spin tires in it, and shot in someones yard.

If its the new 3800 V6 it'll be pretty close I think they run high 15s, but youll probly beat him by a couple of cars, with your V8 and 5spd..but I wouldnt put too much money on it

If I put some new tires on, I will be able to use my low end power and gearing to get him good. But my near bald, original Eagle GT's are close to the end so. Out of curiosity, what would one top out at? I won't be racing to top end of course, but I was J/W.

They are probably electronically limited to like 120mph tops. I would guess its around 110 or so...
